Régen rossz, ha egy könyvcím magyarázatra szorul. Ennél csak az rosszabb, ha nincs, aki megmagyarázza. Mivel a címet én találtam ki, ez a feladat kétségkívül rám vár.
Nos, kedves olvasó, a cím úgy született, hogy néhány felnőtteknek szóló könyvem elnyerte az Önök tetszését. Tapsot ugyan nem hallottam, de leveleik, telefonhívásaik és a könyvek fogyása alapján mégis hallani véltem.
Remélem, nem tévedtem. Így aztán az Önök biztatására kerekedett ki rövid írásaimból ez az új kötet.
Ráadást, ugye, a koncerteken az előadóművészek szoktak adni, ha elég kitartóan tapsol a közönség. Én nem állok pódiumon, csak itthon kopogok öreg írógépemen, és nagyon örülök, ha tetszik, amit írok.
Ha valakinek megy a késői busza, indul a vonata, vagy egyébként is elege volt, hát nyugodtan kászálódjék.

Aztán összegyűlik egy kötetre való. De miért jut eszébe éppen ez a cím? Mert a tévésorozatok, az angolszász nyelvterületen készült filmek jóvoltából angolul gyakran hallja. Magyarul csak szeretné hallani. De valahogy hiánycikk. Még a falfirkákon is többnyire angolul olvasható, hogy ,,I love Brigi - Karesz".
Azonkívül az angol nyelvű vallomás nemcsak egyes számban szeret, hanem többes számban is.
Akár a kedves olvasó is magára veheti. Ha akarja.

Půjčovna loutek
Jednoho dne dostane XY, vypravěčka příběhů, spisovatelka, která žije v Indii, balíček z Prahy. Je v něm rukopis románu Půjčovna loutek, ve kterém vystupují dva hrdinové podivného jména: Pepe a Puppi. Kdo jsou a jaké jsou jejich osudy? Už jako dítě Pepe pochopil, že hmotná realita světa je jiná, než jak se nám jeví: každý atom je hlavně prázdný prostor. Tento objev ho stále pronásleduje. Dneska se lidi sypou v podstatě na každém rohu nebo v tramvaji. Když už se ale sesypete, záleží hlavně na tom, jak vás znovu uplácají. Jestli vás teda pískaři vůbec seberou. S hlavním hrdinou beze jména – komu tady záleží na jméně? – procházíme městem, kde si domy mezi sebou vyřizují účty jadrnou wasserněmčinou, dělníci v ranních tramvajích zvrací písek, zatímco se trmácí za dřinou do továren, a v noci se k vám v posteli přivine cizí bytost. Z tohohle vyšinutého místa se dá utéct jen pomocí alkoholu nebo něčeho silnějšího a nebezpečnějšího jako láska.

Vojna a mier II (3. a 4. zväzok), 2. vydanie
Tolstoj písal Vojnu a mier v rokoch 1863 – 1869. Kompletné štvorzväzkové vydanie vyšlo v roku 1869. Dobová kritika najprv román odsúdila, ale čitateľský úspech bol obrovský. Dve vydania sa veľmi rýchlo rozpredali. V roku 1873 vyšlo tretie, podstatne prepracované vydanie, ktoré sa vydáva a vychádza v prekladoch dodnes.
Ide o klasický veľkoromán zo života ruskej spoločnosti v prvých desaťročiach 19. storočia. Popri množstve realisticky zobrazených postáv zasadených do historických udalostí plnohodnotne zobrazuje postavy generála Kutuzova a Napoleona. Nájdeme tu opis napoleonských rusko-francúzskych vojen prebiehajúcich v rokoch 1805 – 1812 (v románe je detailne opísaná bitka pri Slavkove 1805, ale aj bitka pri Borodine a francúzske obsadenie Moskvy). Hlavnými hrdinami románu sú dvaja šľachtici Andrej Bolkonský a Pierre Bezuchov, ako aj členovia rodiny Rostovovcov. Pierre Bezuchov je nositeľom Tolstého myšlienok a často veľmi výstižne hodnotí politicko-spoločenské dianie okolo seba, ako aj významné historické postavy.
Román bol niekoľkokrát úspešne sfilmovaný. V edícii Svetová klasika ODEON vychádza v druhom dvojzväzkovom vydaní.
