Tom served in the U.S. Navy and the White House before going on to work at McKinsey & Co, becoming partner and co-founding McKinsey's now gargantuan Organization Effectiveness practice. He is the most famous consultant McKinsey has ever produced. In 1981, Tom founded Skunkworks Inc. and The Tom Peters Company.
