Motörhead sú legendárna kapela britskej hard & heavy scény založená a vedená Ianom „Lemmym“ Kilmisterom v roku 1975 a sú považovaní za jednu z prvých kapiel tzv. „Nové vlny brtského heavy metalu“. Počas svojho pôsobenia vydali 23 štúdiových, 10 koncertných, 12 kompilačných a 5 EP platní. Po smrti Lemmyho v roku 2015 skupina oficiálne oznámila ukončenie svojej existencie.
Pôvodná LP platňa „No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith“ obsahuje dve skladby z ich debutového albumu, titulnú skladbu z „Bomber“ z roku 1979, päť skladieb z „Overkill“ z roku 1979 a tri skladby z „Ace Of Spades“. Skladba „Motörhead“ bola vydaná ako singel a stala sa doteraz najväčším hitom skupiny a dostala sa na 6. miesto v britskej hitparáde. S výnimkou „Iron Horse/Born To Lose“, ktorá pochádza zo show z roku 1980, bola „No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith“ nahraná na koncertoch v Leedse a Newcastle počas Short Sharp Pain In The Neck Tour. Prvýkrát sa Motörhead s albumom dostali na prvé miesto v britských rebríčkoch. Album je uvedený v knihe 1001 „Albumy, ktoré musíte počuť, než zomriete“.
Album „No Sleep ‘Til Hammersmith“ obsahuje remastrované verzie pôvodných pások z roku 2021 a kompletnú živú nahrávku z Newcastlu. Nahrávky vznikli počas turné “Short Sharp Pain In The Neck”, z ktorého album pôvodne pochádza. Potom, čo už v roku 2021 vyšla ako 2CD mediálna kniha, teraz vychádza ako 2CD digisleeve.
