Yes je britská hudobná skupina hrajúca progresívny rock, ktorá bola založená v Londýne v roku 1968 Jonom Andersonom a Chrisom Squirom. Aj napriek mnohým zmenám v zostave, občasným rozdeleniama zmenám v populárnej hudbe, skupina pretrvala vyše 40 rokov a stále má silnú medzinárodnú fanúšikovskú základňu
Keď Yes začali skúšať skladby „Fragile“, ich klávesákom bol stále Tony Kaye, ale keď opakovane odmietal ísť za hranice svojho bežného klavíra a organu Hammond a začleniť zvuky Mellotronu alebo Moogu, bol vyhodený. Po jeho odchode kapela pozvala Wakemana, a mali šťastie, že sa pridal, pretože náhodou mu bola ponúknutá aj ďalšia zaujímavá príležitosť: úloha v turné Davida Bowieho.
