Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning CD
Alkaline Trio je americká punk rocková skupina z Chicaga. Súčasnými členmi kapely sú Matt Skiba (gitara, spev) a Dan Andriano (basgitara, spev). Alkaline Trio, ktoré založili koncom roku 1996 Skiba, basgitarista Rob Doran a bubeník Glenn Porter, vydali svoj debutový singel „Sundials“ v roku 1997. Po jeho vydaní Doran z kapely odišiel a nahradil ho Andriano, ktorý zastával rolu spolu-vedúceho speváka po boku Skibu. Skupina následne nahrala EP s názvom For Your Lungs Only (1998) a debutový štúdiový album Goddamnit (1998). Po vydaní druhého albumu kapely Maybe I'll Catch Fire (2000) Porter opustil skupinu a na jeho nasledujúcom albume From Here to Infirmary (2001) ho nahradil Mike Felumlee.

Barbara Joan "Barbra" Streisand (narodená 24. apríla 1942) je americká speváčka a herečka. S kariérou trvajúcou viac ako šesť desaťročí dosiahla úspech vo viacerých oblastiach zábavy a je jednou z mála účinkujúcich ocenených cenami Emmy, Grammy, Oscar a Tony (EGOT). Streisand začala svoju kariéru účinkovaním v nočných kluboch a divadlách na Broadwayi začiatkom 60. rokov. Po hosťovaní v rôznych televíznych reláciách podpísala zmluvu s vydavateľstvom Columbia Records, trvala na tom, že si ponechá plnú umeleckú kontrolu a výmenou za to prijala nižšiu mzdu, čo je dohoda, ktorá pokračovala počas celej jej kariéry a vydala svoj debut The Barbra Streisand Album (1963), ktorý získal cenu Grammy za album roka. Počas svojej nahrávacej kariéry sa Streisand umiestnila na vrchole amerického rebríčka Billboard 200 s 11 albumami.
Hudobne zostala Streisand vždy všestranná – od broadwayských štandardov cez pop až po soundtracky k veľkým filmom. Finská kapela The Solitude je označována za "supergroup", protože ji tvoří veteráni finské metalové scény. Kapelu původně založil bubeník Janne Parviainen (známý z kapely Ensiferum) již před více než 30 lety. Tehdy začínali hraním coververzí legendárních Candlemass. Projekt byl na dlouhou dobu uložen k ledu a k jeho vzkříšení došlo až v posledních letech. Prezentují se jako „Epic Doom Metal“.
Album finských Solitude s názvem „The Sound of Absent Life“ vyjde v dubnu 2026. Nahrávalo se živě na analogové pásky ve studiu Finnvox, aby zvuk zůstal syrový a autentický. Na albu spolupracovala zvučná jména finské scény – mix měl na starosti Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Amorphis) a mastering Mika Jussila (Nightwish, Motörhead). Kapela odmítá moderní digitální dokonalost. Sází na upřímnost, nedokonalost a „poctivý epický doom“.

Karel Hynek Mácha: Úsvit spatřený
Už více než sto let hlídá Myslbekova socha milence na Petříně. Položme si otázku: Je tohle uhlazené dílo opravdový Mácha? Nebo se v něm skrývá alespoň částečná pravda?
Částečná ano. V autorovi Máje zaznívala i libozvučná struna. Ovšem přečtěte si tuto báseň celou… a sami řekněte, zda je v ní více temných, nebo světlých nálad a tónů.
Stejně tomu bylo s reálným Karlem Hynkem Máchou, než se z něj – po bohužel tak brzké smrti – stala „mramorová busta“. Ti, kteří ho mají zafixovaného jako věčného jinocha s blaženým úsměvem, asi s údivem uslyší o jeho prudkém střídání nálad či vznětlivosti. A to není všechno, nacházíme v něm také pragmatickou notu: výborný student na všech stupních, cílevědomý začínající právník, překvapivě pragmatický obchodník…
Přičtěte si k tomu všemu širokou paletu talentů – nadaný básník, prozaik a dramatik (ale i hudebník), řemeslně zdatný malíř, suverénní řečník a herec, neúnavný cestovatel sportovního ducha –, a stojí před Vámi Někdo s velkým N. Když k tomu přidáme fakt, že Máj v našich literárních poměrech předběhl dobu (ba v jistém ohledu nebyl „dohnán“ dodnes), Máchův stupňující se neklid v posledních letech života, a nakonec jeho smrt, kterou nemůžeme nazvat jinak než tragickou a zbytečnou, pak nám tato osobnost nemůže být ani po dvou stoletích lhostejná.
Osvědčený tandem Otomar Dvořák a Josef Pepson Snětivý se nepouští do úmorných rozborů každé řádky v Máchově literární pozůstalosti ani nepředkládá klasický cestopis. Dívá se na Hynka jako na nevšedního člověka: nikoli jako na idol nebo na rozervaného „rebela bez příčiny“, ale celistvě a s vědomím soukromých i společenských souvislostí.
Autoři – stejně jako jejich hrdina – obdivují krásu a rozmanitost českých sídel a krajiny. Sledují ho tedy v Praze a v dalších městech, ale především na cestách. Mácha se totiž stal i průkopníkem českého turismu a jedním z těch, kteří obrazem a zápisky začali mapovat naši nádhernou zemi.
Otomar popisuje Máchův život doslova od kolébky, dává mu dobový rámec, cituje z příslušných pasáží jeho tvorby, pozastavuje se u nejzajímavějších momentů… Píše tak barvitou kroniku jednoho mladého života. Pepson se v kapitolách, jejichž nadpis vždy začíná slovy Mácha spatřený…, převtěluje po Hynkově vzoru v dychtivého, okouzleného poutníka, jenž kráčí v jeho stopách.
Vzhledem k tomu, kde všude tyto stopy nacházíme, se tato první máchovská kniha omezuje na léta dětství, dospívání a rozletu do světa dospělých. Děj je přibližně ohraničen letopočty 1810 a 1832.
