Je důležitý i tím, že na něj byli poprvé pozváni biskupové z celého tehdy známého světa a jeho rozhodnutí měla univerzální platnost. Nikajské kredo vyznává radostnou zvěst o spáse lidských bytostí, kterou uskutečnil Bůh v Ježíši Kristu.
Oslavme nikajský koncil chválou Boží slávy, jež se projevila v nesmírném pokladu víry, kterou kredo vyjadřuje. Nekonečná je krása Boha Otce, který nás zachraňuje. Nezměrné je milosrdenství Ježíše Krista, našeho Spasitele. A štědré je vykoupení, které je každé lidské osobě nabízeno v Duchu svatém!
