Do súťaže bolo prihlásených 300 poviedok a v zborníku nájdete 9 ocenených, predslov predsedníčky poroty a názvy poviedok, ktoré postúpili do druhého a tretieho kola. Na konci knihy je prihláška platná pre nasledujúce ročníky. Porota si pri čítaní súťažných textov všimla značný výskyt detských hrdinov a tém detstva či spomienok. Taktiež sa u súťažiacich objavoval trend opisovania vidieckeho života s prvkami lyriky a magického realizmu. Ako ďalšie pozitívum textov tohto ročníka porotcovia uvítali zvýšený výskyt príbehov zo života starších ľudí. Vo víťaznej poviedke porota ocenila, že napriek príbehu z minulosti bol citeľný presah do súčasných tém ako feminizmus alebo netradičné vzťahy. Zároveň porotu oslovil zaujímavý opis života na dedine, vysoká kvalita štylistiky a netradičné používanie jazykových prostriedkov.
