Tahle malá výprava, na který jsem, je to nejmenší, co pro Gail můžu udělat. Zkrátka existujou dluhy, který nedokážete nikdy úplně splatit. A přesně takovej mám u ní. Jen bych si přál, aby tenhle starej brouk zvládnul celou cestu aspoň na trojku, bez toho, aby mi vytřás duši z těla, a bez rány jak z děla každejch dvacet metrů. Jako obvykle nic není takové, jak se zdá na první pohled, a obrana rodinných hodnot bude nakonec stát mnohé ze zúčastněných hodně krve a nejeden život. Frank Miller se ve svém fiktivním městě v pátém pokračování již dokonale zabydlel. Stejně jako ve Velké tučné zabijačce se celý děj odehraje během velmi krátkého časového úseku, v rozmezí několika hodin. Čtenář proto vnímá vyprávění podobně, jako když sleduje film nebo televizní seriál typu 24 hodin. Kniha vychází ve druhém vydání, první je už čtyři roky rozebráno. Nový překlad, tak jako u ostatních druhých vydání Sin City, lépe respektuje styl originálního textu.
