KDO: Po svém odchodu z Deep Purple založil zpěvák David Coverdale v roce 1978 rockovou formaci, která podobně jako Deep Purple vycházela z hard rocku, ale kladla větší důraz na líbivé melodie. V osmdesátých letech Whitesnake natočili několik desek, které se dostaly do britské Top 10, s eponymním albem z roku 1987 se dokázali prosadit i ve Spojených státech. CO: V roce 2015 skupina vydala studiovku The Purple Album, na kterém nabídla předělané písně legendárních Deep Purple z období, kdy v kapele působil David Coverdale. Coverdale natočil s Deep Purple tři alba (Burn, Stormbringer a Come Taste The Band) a právě písničky z těchto desek Whitesnake na The Purple Album přenesli do jedenadvacátého století. Na podporu projektu rovněž skupina vyrazila na turné a právě záznam z koncertů The Purple Tour je zachycen na stejnojmenných nosičích. KDO: Metalová legenda z Brazílie. Kapelu sformovali v roce 1984 bratři Max a Igor Cavalerové. Zpočátku byla její tvorba ovlivněna hlavně trash metalem a groove metalem, později vstřebala i prvky alternativního metalu, nu metalu, hardcore punku nebo industriálního metalu. Skupina prošla několika personálními změnami, od roku 2006, kdy kapelu opustil Igor Cavalera, v ní nepůsobí žádný ze zakládajících členů. K nejznámějším deskám patří nahrávky Arise (1991), Chaos A.D. (1993) a Roots (1996). CO: Jedno ze zásadních alb heavy metalu. V diskografii brazilské skupiny jde o poslední desku, na které se podílel zakládající člen Max Cavalera. Sepultura při jejím nahrávání využila služeb několika producentů a hudebníků, mezi nimiž byli i Jonathan Davis z Korn, DJ Lethal z Limp Bizkit nebo Mike Patton z Faith No More. Nahrávku výrazně ovlivnil brazilský hudebník Carlinhos Brown. Šestá deska souboru vyšla původně v roce 1996, nyní je k dispozici v rozšířené reedici, která obsahuje nově zremasterované originální skladby, raritní i dosud nevydané nahrávky nebo živé záznamy. Mezi sedmnácti bonusy (vinylová verze jich obsahuje pouze čtrnáct) jsou například demonahrávky Dusted a Roots Bloody Roots, instrumentální verze Dictatorshit a Cutthroat či koncertní ukázka Attitude pořízená na Ozzfestu. KDO: Americká kapela Mastodon patří k nejzajímavějším spolků současné metalové scény. Vznikli v roce 2000 a zatím vydali pět desek. Prosluli progresivním přístupem, originální instrumentací i vokálními party kombinujícími hluboko posazený chraplavý zpěv i vysoké kvílení. Zatím poslední a komerčně nejúspěšnější desku The Hunter vydali v roce 2011. CO: Šest měsíců po vydání alba Emperor Of The Sand nabízejí Mastodon ve formě EP čtyři dosud nevydané skladby.
