King of Pride
He's his opposite in every way . . . and the greatest temptation he's ever known.
Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos - and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.
With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can't afford the distraction she brings.
Isabella is everything he shouldn't want, but with every look and every touch, he's tempted to break all his rules . . . and claim her as his own.
***
Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn't like or a man she couldn't charm . . . except for Kai Young.
It shouldn't matter. He's not her type - the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he's strictly off limits.
But she can't deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.
No matter how hard they try, they can't resist giving into their forbidden desires.
Even if it costs them everything.

Nakoniec príde smrť
Románu Nakoniec príde smrť z roku 1944 patrí v tvorbe Agathy Christie výnimočné miesto – je to jej jediná historická detektívka. Napísala ju na podnet významného egyptológa a rodinného priateľa Stephena Glanvilla. Dramatický príbeh s prekvapujúcim rozuzlením sa odohráva v starovekom Egypte pred 4 000 rokmi a legendárna spisovateľka v ňom brilantne spojila svoje vedomosti z archeológie so znalosťou ľudskej psychiky.
Po manželovej smrti sa mladá vdova Renisenb vracia do domu svojho otca, váženého zádušného kňaza a bohatého statkára Imhotepa. Život v kňazovej vidieckej domácnosti navonok plynie pokojne, bez väčších drám, no iba dovtedy, kým si pán domu neprivedie krásnu, ale oveľa mladšiu a zákernú konkubínu Nofret. S jej príchodom prepuknú v rodine skryté vášne, ktoré dovtedy driemali pod povrchom, a vypätá situácia napokon vyvrcholí Nofretinou tragickou smrťou.

Pýcha a předsudek / Pride and Prejudice
Svůj nejlepší román Pýcha a předsudek (Pride and Prejudice) se pokoušela vydat už v roce 1797 pod názvem První dojmy (First Impressions).

Pride and Prejudice
"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."
So begins Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen's classic novel of manners and mores in early nineteenth century England.
As the Bennets prepare their five grown daughters to enter into society, each shows personality traits that illuminate their future prospects as wives. Jane, the oldest, is the most demure and traditional, and Lydia, the youngest, the most headstrong and impulsive. Attention centres on haughty second-born Elizabeth, and her blossoming relationship with the dashing but aloof Fitzwilliam Darcy. Adversaries at first in the endless rounds of balls, parties, and social gatherings, they soon develop a grudging respect for one another that blossoms into romance when each comes to appreciate the tender feelings that course beneath the veneer of their propriety and reserve.
