"Ho! ho! I am the Toad, the motor-car snatcher, the prison-breaker, the Toad who always escapes!"
Tired of spring cleaning, Mole ventures above ground into the warm sunshine, and happens upon his friend Ratty. Together they picnic on the sparkling, burbling river, brave the sinister Wild Wood in wintertime to visit the bad-tempered Badger, and take to the open road in a caravan with dear, silly old Toad. But when Toad's attention turns to motor cars, his reckless behaviour goes from bad to worse.
Badger, Rat and Mole must save their friend from ruin, and Toad Hall from the clutches of the rascally Stoats and Weasels.

South Africa, Namibia, Botswana
In South Africa, at the southern tip of the African continent, one finds extreme deserts in the Kalahari at the border to Namibia, subtropical forests in the southeast, but also mountain ranges like the Drakensberg parallel to the Indian Ocean. Beaches, lush vineyards, and rugged cliffs at the Cape of Good Hope mark the diversity of the country. The Kruger National Park is home to large game in the interior. Namibia, located in southwestern Africa, is characterized by the Namib Desert along the Atlantic coast. To the north is the Etosha National Park, whose salt pan attracts numerous wild animals such as rhinos and giraffes. The landscape of Botswana, a landlocked country in South Africa, is desert on the one hand and a huge river delta with seasonal flooding on the other, a habitat for lush vegetation and many animals. This volume presents these three states in more than 500 pictures. The natural spectacle and animal world could not be more contrasting.

Idiot Wind - A Memoir
In 1987 a massive snowstorm hits New York as Peter Kaldheim flees the city, owing drug debts to a dealer who is no stranger to casual violence.
Leaving behind his chaotic past, Kaldheim hits the road, living hand-to-mouth in flop-houses, pan-handling with his fellow itinerants. As he makes his way across America in search of a new life, the harsh reality of vagrancy forces him to face up to his past, from his time in Rikers prison, to relationships lost and lamented.
Kaldheim hikes and buses through an America rarely seen, and his encounters with a disparate collection of characters instils in him a new empathy and wisdom, as he journeys on a road less travelled.
