New York Dolls bola americká rocková kapela založená v New Yorku v roku 1971, ktorá vydala dva albumy, New York Dolls (1973) a Too Much Too Soon (1974), kým sa v roku 1976 nerozpadla. Jej klasickú zostavu tvorili spevák David Johansen, gitarista Johnny Thunders, basgitarista Arthur Kane, gitarista a klavirista Sylvain Sylvain a bubeník Jerry Nolan; títo dvaja v roku 1972 nahradili Ricka Rivetsa a Billyho Murciu. Vo svojom vzhľade čerpali z drag módy, nosili vysoké podpätky, klobúky, satén, mejkap, spandex a šaty.
"Cause I Sez So" je štvrtý štúdiový album (a druhý po ich opätovnom zjednotení). Bol vydaný 5. mája 2009 pod vydavateľstvom Atco Records. Album produkoval Todd Rundgren, ktorý produkoval aj ich debutový album s rovnomenným názvom. Jedna z piesní, „Trash“, je reggae štýlovou remake piesne, ktorá sa pôvodne objavila na ich debutovom albume. Album sa umiestnil na 159. mieste v rebríčku Billboard 200.

Americká rocková skupina založená v roce 1971 v New Yorku, která patří k průkopníkům punku a glam metalu a jejíž výstřední image s vysokými podpatky a make-upem položila základy pro punkovou scénu poloviny 70. let. Kapela, v níž se střídali členové jako David Johansen, Johnny Thunders a Sylvain Sylvain, vydala ikonická alba „New York Dolls“ (1973) a „Too Much Too Soon“ (1974), která se stala kultovními a ovlivnila mnoho legendárních kapel jako Sex Pistols, Ramones či Guns N Roses. I přes svůj krátký původní aktivní období měla New York Dolls dlouhodobý vliv na vývoj rockové hudby a po znovuspojení v roce 2004 vydala další tři alba, přičemž její vliv a status rockové legendy přetrvaly.
Vinylová reedice studiového alba americké rockové skupiny New York Dolls. Poprvé album vyšlo v roce 2006 a představuje jeden z nejzdařilejších comebacků v historii rocku, kdy se New York Dolls vrátili do studia po neuvěřitelných třiatřiceti letech od své poslední řadové desky. Pod producentským dohledem Jacka Douglase a v čele s nezaměnitelným frontmanem Davidem Johansenem skupina dokázala, že neztratila nic ze své drzosti, špinavého glamu a smyslu pro melodický punk-rock, i když v sestavě zbyli z původních členů už jen Johansen a kytarista Sylvain Sylvain. Deska nabízí vyzrálý, ale stále dravý zvuk, který skládá poctu jejich kořenům v rhythm and blues i pouličnímu rock'n'rollu.
