Předkládaná monografie představuje síť textů směřujících od pojetí ruské literatury v dílech dvou zakladatelů slavistiky, zejména literárněhistorické, přes Karamzinovo budování novoruské literatury k podílu „cizinců“ na utváření ruského písemnictví klasického i moderního, jež se týkají jak koryfejů ruské klasiky, jako jsou A. S. Gribojedov, F. M. Dostojevskij, M. Gorkij nebo i dlouho pozapomínaný N. S. Leskov, tak českých pohledů na novější literaturu druhé poloviny 20. století (V. Rasputin, J. Vodolazkin) nebo na působení Rusů či obecněji východních Slovanů v meziválečném Československu (Alfred Bem, Valerij Vilinskij, syn smluvního profesora Masarykovy univerzity Sergije Vilinského) a průhledů na dobu, jež byla ne zcela přesně nazvána „obdobím stagnace“ („period zastoja“), neboť i tu se objevovaly zajímavé diskuse s hodnotovými posuny, které často měly na další ruský vývoj klíčový vliv. A potom specifikum české literárněvědné rusistiky (Malá reflexe… Jaroslav Burian), včetně Wollmanovy polemiky s Poláky o panslavismu, což v českém případě bývá často – a nesprávně – spojováno jen s Janem Kollárem. A poté problém terminologie aplikovaný právě na ruskou literaturu a pojednání o univerzalitě ruské literatury a také literární vědy ve spojitostí s její českou recepcí v 19.–21. století, včetně různých kontroverzí, jež svazek uzavírá. Jestliže se česko-ruské vztahy dnes znovu dostávají do epicentra pozornosti – a jde většinou o věci žhavě aktuální a politické povahy, jež nejsou dostatečně rozkryty a poznány – mělo by to být i skromnou výzvou pro českou rusistiku k hlubinnému zkoumání tzv. ruského fenoménu obecně v srovnávacích souvislostech a dalších průnicích genologických, tematologických, ideologických, sociologických, antropologických a filozofických, tedy rámcově areálových. A také by mělo vést k poznání minulosti, jež může být využito i v pohledech na současnost a jež by mělo trvalejší charakter než dojmové a emocionálně laděné exkurzy. Berme tento svazek jako pokus přispět, byť jen malou měrou, k takovému pohledu a poznání.

In Europe, Christianity played a crucial role in the development of the concept of freedom. However, the creation of the human rights construct has primarily been formulated as an achievement of the Enlightenment, viewing the ideals of Christianity as a spiritual current and social organising force that restricts the freedom of the individual. The essays collected in this volume clearly show that the intertwining of culture, values, law and religion, especially Christianity, constitutes a special area of legal studies, and this is a research field which requires much fuller exploration. The individual papers focus on the legal questions raised by liberties, such as the right to human dignity and to the freedom of expression, religion and thought. The book highlights the conceptual flaw in the drug-based approach to healthcare, which only damages health and even leads to pandemics. Most drugs are designed to chemically block the normal function of healthy aspects of the body, in an attempt to conceal symptoms.
