KDO: Pink Floyd jsou nepochybně jednou z nejzásadnějších skupin hudební historie. Jejich experimentální rocková muzika ovlivnila miliony posluchačů a inspirovala několik generací hudebníků. Vždy je zdobil progresivní přístup při hledání nových možností, kladli důraz na koncepční propojení zvuku s obrazem. Měli jedinečné nápady a pořádali originální výpravné koncerty. Od roku 1964, kdy vznikli, natočili čtrnáct studiových alb. Těžko hledat slavnější art-rockovou skupinu! CO: Po vydání alba The Division Bell se skupina vydala na turné, které probíhalo od března do října roku 1994. V jeho samém závěru vznikl koncertní film, který následně vyšel pod názvem P.U.L.S.E. Kapela v londýnském svatostánku Earls Court, kde režisér David Mallet záznam pořídil, obměnila repertoár a do druhé části vystoupení zařadila všechny skladby z legendárního alba The Dark Side Of The Moon. Pro účely nové reedice byl film odborně upraven a reeditován z původních pásků, upraven byl i obal vytvořený pro DVD vydání v roce 2006. V nové verzi, která je poprvé k dispozici na Blu-ray disku, najde zájemce hudební videa, různé dokumenty, backstage záznamy, šedesátistránkový booklet a další memorabilie. Známé osobnosti a média koncerty hodnotily slovy: „Skupina dokázala, že všechno je možné,” nebo „Byli jsme svědky koncertu, o kterém se bude mluvit ještě další desetiletí.” Album je přelomovou verzí v katalogu kapely, a to jak zvukově, tak vizuálně. O produkci se postaral Greg Fidelman a s ním James Hetfield a Lars Ulrich. Živé album zachycuje více než dvou a půl hodinový záznam, kdy James, Lars, Kirk Hammett a Robert Trujillo performují společně s osmdesáti členou SF Symphony, legendárním hudebním ředitelem orchestru Michaelem Tilson Tomasem a dirigentem Edwinem Outwaterem.
