Ellington Duke & Coltrane John - Duke Ellington & John Coltrane LP
Tento album obsahuje jedinú nahrávku Dukea Ellingtona a Johna Coltranea. Pri tejto príležitosti sú Coltrane a Ellington sprevádzaní basgitaristom a bubeníkom ich príslušných skupín, ktorí sa striedali od skladby k skladbe: Aaron Bell a Sam Woodyard (z Dukeovej rytmickej sekcie) a Jimmy Garrison a Elvin Jones (z Traneovej rytmickej sekcie). V čase tejto nahrávky bol Ellington jazzovou hviezdou a mal za sebou takmer štyri desaťročia hudobnej kariéry. Coltrane bol na druhej strane členom skupiny Milesa Davisa a kvarteta Theloniousa Monka a v roku 1960 si založil vlastnú skupinu. Bolo to teda stretnutie historickej postavy jazzu a jedného z najsľubnejších hlasov modernej hudby.
