KDO: Americká rocková kapela Monkees vznikla v roce 1965 v Los Angeles. Byla sformována speciálně pro stejnojmennou televizní sérii zachycující příběh imaginární skupiny, která chce být jako Beatles. Podle členů souboru nebyli Monkees nikdy plnohodnoutnou kapelou: "Monkees byli skutečnou skupinou asi stejně, jako byl Leonard Nimoy vulkánec."
