Depeche Mode je hudobná skupina, ktorá bola v roku 1980 založená v Basildone v Anglicku. Skupinu dnes tvorí: Dave Gahan (spev a spolautorstvo skladieb)a Martin Gore (klávesy, gitara, spev a hlavný autor skladieb). Ich hudobný štýl by sa dal najlepšie charakterizovať ako synth rock, alebo taktiež synthpop (používanie umelých zvukov, vytváraných syntetizátormi a samplermi). Stali sa jednou z najvytrvalejších a najúspešnejších hudobných skupín, ktoré sa objavili počas New Wave a New Romantic éry. Vďaka svojej inovatívnej tvorbe, nahrávacím technikám a popularizácii vzorkovania (angl. sampling), ovplyvnili mnoho súčasných hudobníkov. Ich album Violator z roku 1990 je považovaný za klenot elektronickej hudby. Hoci sú významní pre modernú techno scénu, zostávajú naďalej pri alternatívnej hudbe. Až 54 skladieb skupiny Depeche Mode sa dostalo do rebríčka UK Singles Chart a 17 ich albumov bolo britských rebríčkoch umiestnených do Top 10. Skupina Depeche Mode má na celom svete predaných viac než sto miliónov hudobných nosičov. Časopis Q zaradili Depeche Mode do svojho zoznamu „50 kapiel, ktoré zmenili svet!“Televízia VH1 ich dala na 98. miesto svojho zoznamu „Stovky najväčších umelcov všetkých čias“. V decembri 2016 dal magazín Billboard skupinu Depeche Mode na desiate miesto zoznamu najlepších umelcov klubovej tanečnej hudobnej scény.Skupina Depeche Mode bola nominovaná do Rock and Roll Hall of Fame v rokoch 2017 a 2018 a uvedená do nej bola v roku 2020. Nahrávka, z níž vzešly hity Waiting All Night, Feel The Love nebo Not Giving In, byla s jedním milionem prodaných kopií jedním z nejvydařenějších anglických startů roku. Krotitelům lámaných beatů z Londýna navíc přinesla cenu Brit Awards i nominaci na prestižní Mercury Prize. KDO: Vitacit je česká metalová skupina, která vznikla v roce 1975, její začátky ovšem dosahují až k roku 1973, kdy se zrodilo Smetiště. CO: Před 35 lety (1986) odehrál Miloš Dodo Doležal svůj první koncert jako člen skupiny Vitacit. Byl to začátek fungování nejsilnější sestavy, kterou fanoušci považují za legendární - Miloš Dodo Doležal, Pavel Kuře Hejč, Luděk Adámek, Ivan Polák - a které vyvrcholilo kultovní studiovou nahrávkou Vzhůru přes oceán (1991). Miloš Dodo Doležal po letech vyslyšel přání fanoušků, aby studiově zpracoval celé toto pětileté období. Toto dvojalbum tvoří první díl s hudbou z tohoto období a potěší tak konečně fanoušky skladbami, které neměly za bývalého režimu šanci vyjít na deskách a kolují mezi příznivci jen jako převážně koncertní nahrávky rozdílné kvality. Doležal také zpracoval písně z filmu Horká kaše, ve kterém s Vitacitem účinkoval.
