Druhou rovinou príbehu je aj večný spor otcov a detí, ktorý sa v moderných časoch čoraz väčšmi vyostruje, odráža sa takmer v každej rodine i v celej spoločnosti. Je sympatické, ak dvojica protagonistov vníma nadväznosť generácií, ľudskú reťaz siahajúcu do budúcnosti, s ktorou spájajú životné plány.
Príbeh z bratislavského vysokoškolského prostredia zachytáva aj kultúrny ruch „zlatých šesťdesiatych“ a odohráva sa v poetických kulisách starej Bratislavy.
