Židovka Rivka Arscherová sa narodila v Bratislave v roku 1925. Bola jedináčik. V roku 1942 sa jediná z rodiny zachránila a počas ukrývania spoznala svoju prvú lásku. Ostatní zahynuli v koncentračnom tábore Auschwitz.
Po oslobodení odcestovala so skupinou zachránených Židov do Izraela. S kamarátkou Carmen pracovali v kibuci. Tam sa do nej zaľúbil ruský Žid Jakob Chazanian, za ktorého sa vydala len preto, aby nemusela pracovať v kibuci. Manželstvo sa jej nevydarilo a Jakoba opustila.
Neskôr odišla s americkým Židom Chrisom Howardom do Ameriky. Postupne ju ľúbostný ošiaľ prešiel, keď zistila, že Chris je celkom iný muž, ako si myslela. S dcérou Sárou odišla späť do Izraela. Sára je veľmi pekná, no má s ňou veľa starostí.
Vzťah jej nevyšiel ani s Dávidom, riaditeľom hotela, kde pracovala.
Ako dôchodkyňa sa vrátila na Slovensko. Angažovala sa v charite, vystupovala v médiách.
