Bílé pláže snů, širé savany, vysoké hory a hlavně pohostinní lidé dělají z Keni, Tanzanie a Zanzibaru poklidnou, odpočinkovou a pestrou destinaci. Skoro desetina území Keni je pod ochranou, v Tanzanii dokonce pětina. K chráněným oblastem patří i nejvyšší hora Afriky, 5895 metrů vysoké a sněhem pokryté Kilimandžáro, a skoro 5000 metrů vysoká nejvyšší hora Keni Mount Kenya. Obě lze zdolat bez stoupacích želez. Za návštěvu však stojí i největší města – Nairobi a Mombasa. Tady probíhá ten „pravý“ život. Na pobřeží a především na ostrovech Zanzibaru a Lamu můžete poznat nefalšovanou svahilskou kulturu, jež má staleté dějiny – svědčí o tom trosky měst na pobřeží. Na úchvatných plážích s kokosovými palmami, oslnivě bílým pískem a tyrkysovou vodou se nemusíte jenom slunit. Měli byste se odvážit aspoň jednoho ponoru k většinou dobře zachovalým korálovým útesům.
