Súčasná mapa na druhej strane je ešte detailnejšia. Zobrazuje novú zástavbu, priemyselné objekty, chránené územia či administratívne členenie. Pribudli železnice, diaľnice a vodné nádrže.
Porovnanie máp ukazuje výrazný rozvoj Košíc a okolia za 200 rokov. Zmenili sa názvy obcí, pribudli nové mestské časti a infraštruktúra. Mapy sú cenným zdrojom informácií o vývoji krajiny.
V mape nájdete aj podrobný opis zmien za 220 rokov
Ján Lipský (1766-1826) vytvoril Generálnu mapu Uhorska na začiatku 19. storočia. Ako 17-ročný bol prijatý do vojenskej kartografickej komisie.
Pri tvorbe mapy použil takmer 1000 dostupných náčrtov, ktoré musel zjednotiť.
Mapa sa skladá z 12 listov a obsahuje obsiahly register s 39 500 heslami na 930 stranách.
V roku 1860 boli Košice napojené na uhorskú sieť železníc.
Kúpele v Rudníku liečili pohybové a reumatické problémy už od 17. storočia.
Kostol sv. Anny pri Rudníku dal postaviť jasovský opát Andrej Sauberer v rokoch 1750-1770.
Štós bol v čase tvorby Lipského mapy významným banským mestom.
Kúpele v Štóse boli otvorené až v roku 1883, preto na Lipského mape chýbajú.

V časovom slede zachytáva podstatné politické udalosti na Veľkej Morave, v kontexte s historickým rivalom Slovanov Franskou ríšou sa snaží priblížiť udalosti tohoto obdobia. Na posteri sú znázornené hlavné sídla podľa predpokladaného vzhľadu, tie viac či menej významné hradiská. S čo najväčšou presnosťou sme sa snažili vyznačiť diaľkové, spojnicové cesty.
Uvedené sú len potvrdené veci, snažili sme sa vyvarovať nelokalizovaným alebo dohadovaným, napr. kostolom, rotundám, hradiskám, atď.. Vzdialená doba, udalosti, pri ktorých sa dá opierať nielen o archeologické podklady, ale už aj o písomníctvo, nám však dáva celkom presné indície a obraz o Veľkomoravskej spoločnosti. Geografické názvy a názvy miest sa nám až na výnimky nezachovali, preto sú uvádzané na mape hlavne pre lepšiu orientáciu súčasné názvy.
Fotografie nálezov v dolnej časti ponúkajú autentickejší obraz o živote na Veľkej Morave. Spodná čas tiež približuje život bežného ľudu a remeslá. Význam Veľkej Moravy dokazuje aj fakt, že Cyrilometodské duchovné dedičstvo a historický odkaz Veľkej Moravy sú hneď v úvode zakotvené v Ústave Slovenskej republiky.
