Česko-ruský odborný slovník z oblasti ekonomické, politické a právní tvoří organický celek s Rusko-českým odborným slovníkem z oblasti ekonomické, politické a právní. Na zpracování hesel se podílel kolektiv autorek Ústavu translatologie FF UK v Praze.
Slovník, který je předkládán veřejnosti, reaguje na aktuální situaci a snaží se ukázat, jak důležitou úlohu hrají odborné výrazy v dnešní komunikaci, snahou je postihnout nejnovější vývoj. Jsou zde přiblíženy pojmy nejen české odborné veřejnosti, ale též co nejširšímu okruhu ruských uživatelů.
Základní gramatická charakteristika u českých ekvivalentů upozorňuje především na případy, kdy se oba jazyky navzájem liší.
