Galaxie Le Corbusier
Zapomenutá sbírka fotografií odhaluje unikátní pohled do společenství, které vzniklo v ateliéru jednoho z největších architektů 20. století Le Corbusiera. Galaxie Le Corbusier zve čtenáře do zákulisí dějin moderní architektury. Autorka Martina Hrabová představuje soubor doposud neznámých a nepublikovaných fotografií, který v roce 2016 objevila v ášramu Šrí Aurobinda v indickém Pondicherry. V krabici od doutníků z Madrasu zde v roce 1942 zanechal své soukromé fotografie jeden z nejbližších Le Corbusierových spolupracovníků z počátku třicátých let 20. století, český architekt František Sammer (19071973). Kniha přináší intimní portrét u nás málo známého architekta a představuje jej v mezinárodním kontextu. Zároveň odkrývá hodnotu přátelství a osobních vazeb, které přetrvaly i v časech velkých krizí světových dějin. Autorka tak zcela novým způsobem uvádí čtenáře do světa významných postav moderní architektury.

Nové vydání knihy se současným názvem Lidové stavby v České republice etnologa a historika Jiřího Langera se snaží svým kultivovaným jazykem a autorskými kresbami tento dluh alespoň částečně splatit a podnítit odborníky na tomto poli pracujícím k dalším obdobným počinům.
PhDr. Jiří Langer, CSc. etnolog, historik a muzejní pracovník, věnuje se zkoumání a terénním výzkumům lidové architektury a problematice muzeí v přírodě, je autorem řady odborných publikací. Rural Modern
Modernism crashed into the American consciousness right after the Second World War, although it had existed in the minds and works of American and German-born architects for almost 40 years prior.
