Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists
Linda Nochlin's seminal essay on women artists is widely acknowledged as the first real attempt at a feminist history of art. Nochlin refused to handle the question of why there had been no 'great women artists' on its own, corrupted, terms. Instead, she dismantled the very concept of 'greatness', unravelling the basic assumptions that had centred a male-coded 'genius' in the study of art.

v Ostrave) je popredný český umelec, performer, kurátor a vysokoškolský pedagóg. Absolvent
Pedagogickej fakulty OU v Ostrave (1991). Od začiatku 90. rokov sa presadil ako kľúčová postava
ostravskej scény s medzinárodným uznaním. Známy je tiež ako jeden zo spoluzakladateľov
kabaretu Návrat mistrů zábavy (1998), medzinárodného festivalu performance Malamut (1994)
alebo výstavného projektu Kolmo k ose. Je členom skupiny František Lozinki (od 2005). V roku
2015 získal Cenu od V. Havlíka pre českého umelca nad 35 rokov. V súčasnosti vyučuje na Fakulte
umení Ostravskej univerzity v Ostrave, je vedúcim Ateliéru video, intermédií a performance. Žije a
tvorí v Ostrave. Katalóg predstavuje vybrané diela z intermediálneho artkiosku Jiřího Surůvky. Jeho
osobitosťou sú predovšetkým aktivistické a performatívne umenie, ktoré sa prelieva do iných médií
a obrazových podôb, ale aj osobitý digitálny print-airbrush na riedke syntetické plátno, ktoré dáva
jeho obrazovým postavám podivné čaro. Projekt vrátane vydania katalógu podporil z verejných
zdrojov Fond na podporu umenia.
Minulé století - dvacet osobností
Publikace s bohatým obrazovým doprovodem, realizovaná ke stálé expozici GMU, pojímá umění české moderny jako renesanční Pantheon umělců. Popírá tak tradiční nazírání dějin umění optikou chronologického řazení stylů, směrů a charakteristických mistrovských děl. Čtenáři představuje českou výtvarnou tvorbu 20. století prostřednictvím prastaré metody autorských kolekcí skrze svébytná díla dvaceti vybraných uměleckých osobností ze sbírek královéhradecké galerie. The TATTOO Book

For the last forty years, Henk Schiffmacher has poured his heart and soul into his collection, amassing tattoo drawings, designs, photographs, and artifacts from around the world. Mindannyiunknak ismerős a kép a szenvedélyes, komor Beethovenről, aki elszántan küzdött, hogy felülkerekedjen a siketségen, aki hallása elvesztése után is több mint egy évtizeden át folytatta a zenélést és a komponálást. Ezt általában emberfeletti hősiességnek tekintjük, de az igazság az, hogy Beethovennek a siketségre adott válasza nagyon is emberi.
És azzal, hogy demisztifikáljuk a tetteit, sokat tanulhatunk Beethoven zenéjéről. Talán senki nem tud erről többet, mint Robin Wallace, aki nem csupán Beethoven zenéjének szentelte életét mint zenetudós, de szoros személyes tapasztalattal is rendelkezik a siketséggel kapcsolatban. Linda Nochlin (1931-2017) was one of the most pioneering and provocative art historians of our time.
