The horrifying story of Jonathan Cresswell and the rape and murder of 21 year old showjumper Katie Simpson, who was initially thought to have taken her own life until Cresswell's crime was uncovered Jonathan Cresswell was a dangerous and violent man, particularly to women. He manipulated his many girlfriends using coercive control and physically assaulted them if they didn't do as he wished. In August 2020 he raped and murdered showjumper Katie Simpson, the sister of his partner and the aunt of his two children. He attempted to cover up the murder and pretended he had found her hanging from the landing in their shared home, and he very nearly got away with it. Only the persistence of an investigative journalist, suspicious nurses and Katie's concerned family and friends caused the PSNI to open a case almost five months after her death. During the resulting trial Cresswell killed himself. Three other women were charged with helping him to conceal his crime, and each received a suspended sentence due their deference of being under Cresswell's control.

Did you know? Armagh hosted the first-ever All-Ireland Road Bowls Championship in 1963. Armagh’s Danny McPartland was the winner, beating Derry Kenny of Cork on the final shot by just 11 yards. In July 1926 William McCrea, a farmer from Loughgall, claimed to have reached the grand old age of 107. In 1894 there was concern about a marked increase in the prevalence of lunacy in Armagh. It was suggested that one of the causes was drinking poor-quality tea. Here you will find out about Armagh’s history, its proud sporting heritage, its castles and great houses, and its famous men and women. You will also glimpse a darker side to Armagh’s past through tales of poverty, famine and tragedy. From quaint villages to bustling towns, this book takes you on a journey through the Orchard County and its vibrant past. People read it, critics loved it, producers now want to make it into a movie. The dream of quitting her job and becoming a full-time writer in London doesn't seem so far away. There's only one problem: everyone in her family has an opinion about the book - and none of them are good. Though Nola can't let it affect her. It's the price she must pay for the life she wants. But now, someone has made an anonymous complaint to her publisher about Animal Oracle. Suddenly, her hard-won reputation as a literary darling is at stake. Nola is sure that only someone in her secretive, chaotic family could be to blame. As her parents and three remaining siblings prepare to spend the fifth anniversary of Darina's death together on the isolated island of Lundy, Nola knows this is the perfect opportunity to convince her accuser to pull the complaint before it causes irreparable damage - but first, she must discover who made it.

A spin-off oldalhajtást, mellékszálat jelent. A Star Wars-sorozathoz például számos ilyen spin-off filmet forgattak. Nos, a kedves Olvasó ilyen történetekkel találkozhat a Buda & Pest - Mellékutcák című kötet hasábjain.

A sherwoodi erdő árulója

Ellenkezőleg: bármire képes a céljai elérése érdekében. Amy S. Kaufman regénye egyszerre merész újragondolása a klasszikus Robin Hood-legendának, ugyanakkor egy izgalmas, érzékeny fiatal nő története is, akinek döntenie kell, eldobható báb vagy egyenrangú fél lesz-e a nemesek és tolvajok játszmájában.
