Utazás az íróasztalom körül - Janikovszky Éva-emlékkötet
Janikovszky Éva születésének 100. évfordulójára jelenik meg ez a gazdagon dokumentált portrékötet, tisztelgésként egy olyan életmű előtt, amely generációk gondolkodását formálta. A válogatás vezérfonalát az író 1986-os, eddig publikálatlan kézirata adja, emellett a hagyatékban talált, eddig ismeretlen személyes írások, önéletrajzi ihletésű szövegek, levelek, esszék teszik ki a kötet anyagának nagy részét.
A kötet alkotó szerkesztője Vojnics-Rogics Réka irodalomtörténész dolgozta fel az író hagyatékát, ennek köszönhetően betekintést kapunk abba, hogy miként születtek meg azok a művek, amelyek egyszerre szólnak gyerekekhez és felnőttekhez itthon és a világ számos országában; s az is jól látható, hogy Janikovszky Éva szerkesztői, irodalomszervezői munkásságának milyen sokat köszönhet a magyar gyerekirodalom. A könyv nemcsak az irodalomtörténet iránt érdeklődő olvasókhoz szól, hanem mindazokhoz, akik ismerik és szeretik Janikovszky Éva műveit - nemcsak emlékezés, hanem párbeszédlehetőség is egy máig érvényes életművel.

Psychologické sci fi o cestě, která mění víc než jen místo.
Mladá dívka je vypravěčkou příběhu, který začíná jednosměrným letem na Mars. Patří mezi patnáct vybraných členů posádky, kteří opouštějí Zemi i své rodiny s vědomím, že návrat zatím nebude možný. Tento krok ale není tou hlavní zkouškou.
Skutečná mise se odchyluje od všech plánů. Čtenáře tak čekají nečekaná překvapení i psychologicky barvité situace, očima mladé dívky, která ne všemu rozumí. A právě čtenář má možnost posoudit, co se skutečně odehrává, a konfrontovat její interpretaci s vlastním úsudkem a zkušeností.
Postava vypravěčky se během děje vyvíjí a její názory se proměňují. Některých změn si je vědoma, některých nejspíš ne. Čtenář tak není pouhým divákem, ale i aktivním účastníkem, který v textu hledá pravdu a současně i sebe sama.
Není to kniha pro odpočinkové čtení, ale dílo, které vyžaduje plnou pozornost. Odměnou však je hluboký zážitek: i při druhém čtení objevíte nové vrstvy a nové významy.
Němčina ke kafíčku
Němčina ke kafíčku je knížka plná zábavných úkolů - najdete jich tu rovných sto. Knížka je rozdělena do tří částí. První část je určena začátečníkům a většinu cvičení, která tu najdete, zvládnete s minimem předchozích znalostí. Druhá část pokrývá reálie, na své si tak přijdou milovníci zeměpisu a dějepisu. Třetí část je pak určena mírně pokročilým studentů na úrovni A1/A2. Našim cílem bylo vytvořit cvičebnici nejen zábavnou, ale také praktickou. Velký prostor je věnován základním tématům jako nakupování, cestování, jídlo, doprava nebo seznamování.

Představte si vysněný scénář mnoha z nás po dlouhém pracovním týdnu: mít celý dům jen pro sebe. Žádný partner, žádné děti, žádná domácí zvířata. Ale když se usadíte na gauč, něco se pohne: možná myš vyběhne ze spodu skříně, nebo oknem líně prolétne moucha. Pravda je, že ve skutečnosti nejsme nikdy doma sami.
Až donedávna nikdo tvory, kteří s námi odjakživa sdílí naše domovy, nebral příliš vážně – dokud se Rob Dunn a jeho tým nerozhodli prozkoumat je blíže. Objevili, že v našich ložnicích, kuchyních, obývacích pokojích, koupelnách a sklepech žije téměř 200 000 druhů organismů. Některé z těchto druhů nás mohou zabít. Některé nám prospívají. A některé se zdají být zcela neškodné. Ale téměř všechny byly doposud úplně neznámé.
Základy právní filozofie
Základy právní filozofie nabízí reprezentativní a srozumitelný úvod do hlavních témat tohoto oboru se zvláštním důrazem na současné debaty. Učebnice systematicky představuje klíčové teorie o povaze práva a jeho morálním hodnocení a věnuje se i praktičtějším otázkám, proč máme povinnost právo dodržovat a za jakých podmínek může autorita vůči jednotlivcům uplatňovat paternalistické zásahy. Nechybí ani kapitoly zaměřené na filozofické problémy nejdůležitějších právních odvětví, například ospravedlnění trestání nebo morální závaznost smluv. Text je určen především studentům právnických fakult, je však koncipován tak, aby byl přístupný i širšímu okruhu čtenářů se zájmem o právo, filozofii a společenské otázky.

Všichni, kdo budou vyučovat některé z témat, jež kniha pokrývá, budou těmto autorům zavázáni za to, že napsali mimořádně poctivou učebnici, jež na relativně malém rozsahu systematicky postihuje ty nejzásadnější otázky filozofie práva. Rozsah použitých zdrojů je úctyhodný a o to více vyniká skutečnost, jak na omezeném prostoru dokázali autoři vystihnout základní kontury jednotlivých debat. Každý čtenář právní filozofie ví, jak komplikované tyto debaty často jsou, a nemůže proto nebýt autorům vděčný za to, s jakou srozumitelností je dokážou zpřístupnit.

Churches of Leicestershire and Rutland
The churches of Leicestershire and Rutland represent the history of this area of the East Midlands. Largely rural, their wealth in the Middle Ages came largely through farming and the wool trade, as well as the largest settlement in the area, Leicester. Later industrialisation also shaped Leicestershire, as Leicester and Loughborough also became known for manufacturing and coal mining although adjoining Rutland, much smaller, developed less. This book travels through a selection of the most interesting churches in these counties, from churches with Norman and sometimes Saxon and Roman fragments, through to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries were burgeoning populations in the towns needed new places to worship in many denominations. Examples include Leicester Cathedral acquisition of a long lost English king, the rescue of Normanton church from Rutland Water, and many more. This fascinating picture of an important part of the history of Leicestershire and Rutland over the centuries will be of interest to all those who live in or are visiting these attractive counties in England.

Zeppelins were the biggest aircraft ever built and Germany led the way in their use as a weapon of war.
