Jeho let do Záhřebu je však kvůli hustému sněžení zrušen. Následujícího dne při pohledu do ranních novin zjistí, že zastřelil nesprávného muže. Návrat do vlasti se odkládá, zadanou práci je třeba dokončit stůj co stůj. To však nebude tak jednoduché. Problémy se jen vrší, Chorvat nemá peníze, nemá kde spát, docházejí mu náboje ve zbrani, a především policie v čele s Harrym Holem už je mu na stopě. Harry přitom stojí před nelehkým úkolem - ochránit skutečnou oběť a chytit zabijáka co nejdříve. Aby to dokázal, musí se uchýlit k ještě nekonvenčnějším postupům než obvykle.
