Jó, Harry Potter byl od pohledu hodnej kluk a Baxter Zevcenko má stejně sladkej kukuč, ovšem zbytek už tak trochu nesedí… Chodí na střední v Kapském městě, kde si slušně vydělává prodáváním bizarního porna, a tím tahá za nitky v hierarchii školních gangů, a taky chodí s Esmé, sexy šestnáctiletou kleptomankou… A pak Esmé unesou a vypadá to, že v tom mají prsty dost podivný mocnosti. Baxter ji chce najít za každou cenu a Jackie Ronin, věčně zlehýnka nacamranej lovec duchů, je jedinej, kdo mu dokáže pomoct.
