So one of the top ten places NOT to visit when you can see the grisly ghosts of the dearly departed? The hospital. Unfortunately for Miko, that’s exactly where she has ended up. With no chance to escape from all the things that go bump in the night, can Miko make it to the break of dawn?

There’s a new kid on the block! Or more of, in Miko’s class. In the seat behind Miko. Supposedly, she’s this dropdead gorgeous model, but...Miko can’t see her face past the tentacles. Like, at all. But she has an actual body, unlike the ghosts, so... just whatwhat is she?!

Although Miko’s been trying her hardest to ignore all the creepyghost things aroundher, now that Hana may be involved, she can’tpretend anymore. So with the help ofthe Godmother and the weird guy in a tophat, she sets off. They have one job—solvethe mystery of the creepyshrine maidens before time runs out...

After finding a kindred spirit in the Godmother, Miko’s made just atiny bit of progress in figuring out what the heck is going on with hereyesight. But a bunch of mysteries still remain—like who those freakyshrine maidens are and who that shady dude in the top hat is...As if thatweren’t enough, Hana’s come down with a sickness that (may) havebeen caused by ghost possession!

Thrice. Three times. Those creepy shrine maidens saved Miko from three encounters with murderous ghosts... but what happens now? Well, Miko’s about to find out! In an effort to thank and appease the strange spirits who protected her, Miko is determined to bring an offering back to the shrine where she first met them. The only problem? The area looks a bit different from the last time she visited…

She hasn’t given up yet! One day, Miko will be free from the ghosts! But first, she has to survive her encounters with her new substitute teacher who’s got some pretty freaky vibes. And on top of that, Hana and their new friend Yuria-chan are trouble magnets-so it’s up to Miko to protect them as best she can...
