Hucow Training

The last thing Erik expects to see when he arrives in the mandatory Shifter class that the University had just set up that week is a bound hucow being rolled into the class like a human sacrifice. Their professor thinks hucows are made to be used and is offering her just for that purpose. Except he's wrong. She's not a toy to be used. She's precious and most importantly, she's his and he intends to make it clear right there in front of all his classmates. ~~~~~ Excerpt ~~~~~ "So, who wants to go first?" Professor Snow address the whole class. He raises his hand automatically and is pleased to note that none of the werewolves do. The professor frowns because everything he's heard about werewolves had told him that they would leap at the chance to breed hucows.  He doesn’t know that they can smell her. They know she belongs to someone. She's his. If they touch her, they're going to be answering to his pack and he's lucky there too, because his pack is strong and powerful, because he's an Alpha on his own and he can take ten werewolves his size without breaking a sweat. "Alright, Erik. Come on up. You can break her in so that the rest of your classmates can have a go." He would castrate them before they can get close to her. He pushes his chair back. Professor Snow yanks her blanket away, showing her off to everyone and briefly, he considers mauling them all. The werewolves avert their gazes politely, but the humans are salivating, several of them already hard as they imagine themselves in his shoes.

Abandoned Kitty

Anna has never dealt with change well. When Anna losses her Master, she panics and shifts into her cat form, hiding in her animal mind because she doesn't have to deal with grief if she's a cat. Except nobody tells the werewolf who had been tasked with taking care of her that she's not actually a cat.  It's not bad, being treated like an animal, though. He feeds her and pets her. Maybe she could just stay like this forever. Except she's human too and she has needs that has nothing to do with food and shelter. When she takes her human form, she surprises the Werewolf Alpha with her pale skin and cat ears and long, perfect tail.  He thought there was something wrong with him for being so drawn to the small kitten he has inherited from his father. When he sees her shift to her human form, he finally understands why the Wolf in him desires her so viscerally. ~~~~~ Excerpt ~~~~~ She is mostly asleep when she hears a familiar voice at the door that follows a confused Shadow. The old woman marches in with all the wrath of an avenging god. Or in this case, a pissed off caretaker. Master Monty's primary caregiver is a terrifying woman and keeps order around the house with an iron fist. She must have been so sad when she came back from her son's graduation and found out that Master Monty had died in her absence.  "Melissa? What're you doing here?" Shadow sounds uncertain for the first time since she's been here. "How did you get in?" he continues, completely flummoxed. "The staff tell me that you took Anna with you," Melissa says and her ears perk up at the sound of her name. "Where is she?" Louder, she calls out, "Anna? Anna, darling. Where are you?" Melissa has a sweet spot for her. The older woman practically raised her. She's neither wolf nor cat. Her animal is a bear and she sorts of looks like one, though Anna was never brave enough to say it to her face. Melissa is as big as one, tall and broad with fat and muscle in equal parts and talks with an undertone of 'I can break your bones with my bare hands' that makes the animal side of her tremble and want to hide far, far away. But Melissa has always been kind to her. "It was in the will. She's important to the old man, I gather?" Shadow is attempting to make himself sound less surprised by the unexpected visit and get a hold of himself, but Anna can hear his heartbeat and he is a little scared. She wonders if Melissa raised him too. "Where is she?" Melissa doesn't wait for an answer, sniffing the air and following her nose until she is looking down at Anna, curled up inside of her little cage. "Mreowl," she whines up at the older woman, who lets out an outraged roar that echoes through the room and makes the walls vibrate. She wonders if the walls would crumble from the sheer power in her roar, but they only shake a little, holding firm. Anna has never seen Melissa shift before. She bends over and grabs her cage by the sides and breaks it apart like it's made of paper. It shatters, the fragments falling into her eyes. She closes her eyes and curls her tail around herself. "What're you doing, Melissa?!" Shadow is behind her. Melissa ignores him and shrinks back into her form. "Darling, how long have you been in there?" she asks, her voice softer than Anna has ever heard her before. "Come here, darling. You poor thing. Come here." She mewls and stumbles into Melissa's open arms, shifting as she unfurls from her little corner and she hears Shadow's sharp intake of breath. He backs away, eyes wide with shock. "I didn't know- I didn't know she's-" he starts but Melissa's rumbling purr drowns away whatever else he has to say. Anna hides her face in the larger woman's chest, finding comfort in her warmth. She feels safe here. Her arms and legs ache from being shifted for so long and it is nice to have fingers and toes again.

Lost Little Rabbit

Ally is pretty sure she's going to die. She should never have wandered away from her friend. Now, werewolves have taken interest in her and are hunting her down in broad daylight. She's a weak - and probably delicious - rabbit, so it's only a matter of time before they catch her. There are only so many places she can hide in the city. That doesn't stop her from running as hard as her Shifter Rabbit heart can handle in hopes of escaping. She panics and shifts into her full rabbit form, white and fluffy and absolutely useless.  When she's captured, it's not by the werewolves who've cornered her in the first place but a strange Alpha Werewolf who's capable of shifting into a majestic wolf. She thinks he's here to save her, but he bends and lifts her up by the scruff of her neck and brings her home instead. Ally is still pretty sure she’s going to die. ~~~~~ Excerpt ~~~~~ "Hello there.” The man looms in front of her, huge and terrifying. "What's a little thing like you doing out here all alone? Don't you know it's not safe for shifters like you out here?" "I um- I'm just here for the event," she stutters. "If you could point me in the direction of my hotel, that would be very helpful," she says, hoping her ears are properly tucked under her hair and they can't see them. Apparently city folks are weird about Shifters like her, which was why Darnell had been so wary about letting her out of the hotel. "Aren't you sweet?" The man sneers, looming in front of her, closing in and grabbing her wrist hard enough to hurt. "Please let go," she says, her heartbeat going too fast. "I- Please," she whimpers, eyes filling with tears. She can hold onto her shift easier now that she's older, but she's fast forgetting how to keep in control because she's really scared right now. "Why would I do that? Sweet little thing like you," he drawls, leaning in and licking a wet strip up her cheek. It's really gross and she pulls away, cheeks going bright red with humiliation. The other werewolves are closing in now too, trapping her between them to give her the feeling of prey being surrounded. It's terrifying. Her breath hitches and her eyes burn with tears. She wipes away the saliva on her cheek with the back of her hand. She doesn't like the way he smells like cigarette smoke. He yanks her close, pulling their bodies closer together and then he shifts partially so that his fingers turn into sharp claws right in front of her eyes. She thinks of hitting him and running away but she's outnumbered. She closes her eyes and grimaces when she feels him comb through her hair, tips of his claws cutting through her hair band like it's made of paper. Her hair tumbles out from the ponytail and her rabbit ears drop down. A whine escapes her throat. Her ears fold back, and she trembles quietly, panicking. "Jesus-" "Oh my god." "What the-" She closes her eyes, heart beating so hard she's afraid it would break through her rib cage and abandon her. "Aren't you just lovely," he grins and she can feel his breath on her cheek, burning hot and smelling like cigarette smoke and danger. Her ears are folded all the way back pressing into her ear so his words have a sort of echo to them. She yelps when he clutches her long ears in his palm and tugs her head back, exposing her bare neck to him and looking at her like he's trying to find the best place to slit her neck. It hurts to have her ears tugged like this. "You're going to catch a high price at the market. But maybe we can play with you a little before we send you there," he says, his voice dropping low. He leans in close, mouth parted a little bit like he's going to kiss her and the idea of his lips on hers makes her blood run cold. Her breath hitches and she loses control of her shift entirely. It happens between one breath and the next, her body shrinking so rapidly that his hold on her ears loosen enough for her to drop straight down onto the pavement. She runs, leaving behind her favorite dress and wh
