Kapela v zložení Richard Ashcroft (spev), Pete Salisbury (bicie), Simon Jones (basgitara) a Nick McCabe (gitara) pomohla definovať britskú vlnu 90. rokov a podobne ako ostatné kapely v tomto žánri, aj ich katalóg charakterizuje sláčik. vynikajúcich hitov, ktoré sú teraz základnou súčasťou britského spevníka, vrátane legendárnych piesní 'Bitter Sweet Symphony', 'She's A Superstar', 'The Drugs Don't Work' a 'Sonnet'.Tie sú samozrejme zahrnuté na 2LP Best Of kompilácii ‘This Is Music’, ktorá obsahuje celkovo 14 ich najväčších hitov. Tracklist pre túto 2LP edíciu bol mierne upravený tak, aby obsahoval dve skladby z ich albumu „Forth“ z roku 2008. Navyše ich druhý singel „She's A Superstar“ je teraz zahrnutý v pôvodnej dĺžke vyše 8 minút.
