Neobvykle podaný autentický příběh vojáka wehrmachtu, absolventa gymnázia s duší básníka-filosofa, který je sotva dvacetiletý odvelen na Východní frontu v roce, kdy se tato teprve otvírala a začínala spoluutvářet dějiny války.
