Chase Baker and the Golden Condor
ACTION. ADVENTURE. ROMANCE..."AN ANCIENT AIRCRAFT MADE OF GOLD SAID TO BE THOUSANDS OF YEARS OLD...THE UNRELENTING AMAZON JUNGLE...A BEAUTIFUL ,SEXY LITERARY AGENT...DANGER AND ROMANCE COME TOGETHER IN THE LATEST CHASE BAKER ADVENTURE!"Seeking a much needed payoff, Chase Baker stumbles into the opportunity of a lifetime: to use his treasure hunting skills to seek out an aircraft hidden deep in a remote part of the Amazon Jungle. But the aircraft in question isn’t any old airplane. Legend claims it’s an ancient flying machine called the Golden Condor—an intergalactic spaceship delivered to the Incas by aliens more than a thousand years ago. There’s a catch, of course. Hostile tribal natives, in collaboration with a band of Tupac Amaru revolutionary terrorists, will stop at nothing to murder Chase, his team of explorers, and his beautiful literary agent, before they reach the Condor. And if the terrorists don’t kill them, then the writhing, creeping jungle almost certainly will. But in typical Chase Baker style, once he sets his sights on the prize, nothing will stand in his way. They are embarking on a mission that, if it succeeds, will change the way historians view the ancient Inca civilization—and alter society's beliefs about early man and the heavens above.Readers of Dan Brown, Clive Cussler, Wilbur Smith, and JR Rain, will find Chase Baker's adventures “well worth every minute,” according to SUSPENSE MAGAZINE. Join Chase on his hunt though the heart of darkness today! Be sure to also read THE SHROUD KEY (A Chase Baker Thriller):"If you put Zandri and Dan Brown in a dark Cairo back alley, I'd put money on Zandri. He went to Cairo in the middle of the Arab Spring (against the explicit wishes of the U.S. State Department), gathered materials for the book while Tahrir Square rioted ... The Shroud Key is page-turning fun for popcorn munchers."--Ben Sobieck, CrimeFictionBook Blog"Zandri has brought back that wonderful ‘quest’ story ... THE SHROUD KEY is well worth every minute."--SUSPENSE MAGAZINE

The Artists Who Will Change the World
With the birth of contemporary museum culture and the advent of digital technologies, the 21st century has brought a whole new means by which to access art and its histories. How do we re-map the realm of contemporary art in light of a more inclusive awareness, taking into account the unprecedented global movements of artists today and representing the divergent histories of geographies that were once peripheral? The Artists Who Will Change the World is a new global map of art that points to the future. Unlike a traditional atlas, its cartography illustrates a world of international artists who may not yet be household names, but who will undoubtedly shape the art of tomorrow.
Omar Kholeif provides an introductory field guide to what some of the most urgent contemporary artists are doing worldwide. These are artists whose work engages with the aesthetics of technology and the issues of tomorrow; artists who are developing concepts rarely tested before, or who are engaging with politics in new ways. The book is a journey of discovery that will influence generations of artists and art lovers to come.

Pink Floyd - Behind The Wall
A Pink Floyd, ahogy korábban még soha nem láthattuk!
A rocktörténet közel fél évszázadát felölelő Pink Floyd: Behind the Wall bemutatja a világ legnépszerűbb pszichedelikus együttesének drámai és izgalmas történetét. A Pink Floyd első átfogó, illusztrált krónikájában tanúi lehetünk a korai cambridge-i szárnypróbálgatásaiknak, átélhetjük, ahogy Syd Barrett dalszövegeket ír, ahogy elkészül a Dark Side of the Moon stúdióanyaga, de annak is, ahogy összekülönböznek egymással a zenekar tagjai.

The Art of Public Speaking
Training in public speaking is not a matter of externals--primarily; it is not a matter of imitation--fundamentally; it is not a matter of conformity to standards--at all. Public speaking is public utterance, public issuance, of the man himself; therefore the first thing both in time and in importance is that the man should be and think and feel things that are worthy of being given forth. Unless there be something of value within, no tricks of training can ever make of the talker anything more than a machine--albeit a highly perfected machine--for the delivery of other men's goods. So self-development is fundamental in our plan.

Hitler: Only the World Was Enough
A revelatory new biography of Adolf Hitler from the acclaimed historian Brendan Simms
Adolf Hitler is one of the most studied men in history, and yet the most important things we think we know about him are wrong. As Brendan Simms's major new biography shows, Hitler's main preoccupation was not, as widely believed, the threat of Bolshevism, but that of international capitalism and Anglo-America. These two fears drove both his anti-semitism and his determination to secure the 'living space' necessary to survive in a world dominated by the British Empire and the United States.
Drawing on new sources, Brendan Simms traces the way in which Hitler's ideology emerged after the First World War. The United States and the British Empire were, in his view, models for Germany's own empire, similarly founded on appropriation of land, racism and violence. Hitler's aim was to create a similarly global future for Germany - a country seemingly doomed otherwise not just to irrelevance, but, through emigration and foreign influence, to extinction. His principal concern during the resulting cataclysm was not just what he saw as the clash between German and Jews, or German and Slav, but above all that between Germans and what he called the 'Anglo-Saxons'. In the end only dominance of the world would have been enough to achieve Hitler's objectives, and it ultimately required a coalition of virtually the entire world to defeat him.
Brendan Simms's new book is the first to explain Hitler's beliefs fully, demonstrating how, as ever, it is ideas that are the ultimate source of the most murderous behaviour.

The Pit: A Story of Chicago
Norris described The Pit as a fictitious narrative of a "deal" in the Chicago wheat pit, which is the nickname of the trading floor of the Chicago Board of Trade, where commodities are traded like stocks and bonds. One man tries to corner the market on wheat to make a fortune. More than a business story, the novel deals with love and the lack of love in a relationship, selfishness, power, greed, the financial power of men and lack of their power to control events that are shaped by nature. Quote:“Think of it, the food of hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people just at the mercy of a few men down there on the Board of Trade. They make the price. They say just how much the peasant shall pay for his loaf of bread. If he can’t pay the price, he simply starves.”These poor people’s lives are completely out of their hands. In contrast, Norris suggests that ultimately the men down in the Pit don’t have power over them either, nor over their own lives, because above all, nature rules.
