A hála ajándéka
A szeretet a csodaszer. Önmagunk szeretete csodákra képes az életünkben. Ehhez pedig a hála a kulcs." - Louise Hay

Starship Titanic
From the minds of Douglas Adams (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) and Terry Jones (Monty Python) comes Starship Titanic, the hilarious novelization of the third-best adventure game of 1999.
Welcome on board the Starship Titanic. The Ship that Cannot Possibly Go Wrong.
At the centre of the galaxy, a vast, unknown civilization is preparing for an event of epic proportions: the launch of the greatest, most gorgeous, most technologically advanced spaceship ever built – the Starship Titanic.
An Earthling would see the ship as something really, really big, but rather less provincial onlookers would recognize it as the design of Leovinus, the galaxy’s most renowned architect. Before the launch Leovinus is having one last little look round and begins to find that things just aren’t right: poor workmanship, cybersystems out of control, robots walking into doors. How could this have happened?
The following morning, while the galaxy’s media looks on, the fabulous ship eases away from the construction dock, picks up speed, sways a little, wobbles a bit, veers wildly and, just before it can do untold damage to everything around it, appears to undergo SMEF (Spontaneous Massive Existence Failure). In just ten seconds, the whole stupendous enterprise is over. And our story has just begun . . .
My Heart & Other Breakables: How I lost my mum, found my dad, and made friends with catastrophe
The hilarious and deeply moving diary novel from bestselling author Alex Barclay - this might just be the funniest book ever to make you cry your eyes out.
This is the diary of me, Ellery Brown, aged fifteen and a half. I'm supposed to be recording my feelings about my mum, since she died, so why do I keep thinking about who my dad might be instead? Until now, I've had literally NO IDEA who my dad is.
My best friend Meg and I have narrowed it down to three authors my mum knew. (She was an author too.) But as they're all on different CONTINENTS, we're going to need fake IDs, passports, plane tickets and to get away from my self-obsessed grandmother . . . One thing's for sure: this year is going to be INTERESTING!
Az európai migráció két arca
Európa legfontosabb 21. századi dilemmáiról szól a könyv, mint a kontinensen élők identitásának kérdésköre, a migráció megítélése, a bevándorlókkal való együttélés új alapokra fektetése, a multikulturalizmus ideológiájának válsága, a terrorizmus és biztonság vagy az európai lakosság fogyásának, elöregedésének ügye.

Saint
Jump into the world of Fable with this exciting new prequel to the New York Times-bestselling novel by Adrienne Young. Join Saint and Isolde, Fable's star-crossed parents, on this adventure with romance, treasure, and heartbreak.
As a boy, Elias learned the hard way what happens when you don't heed the old tales.
Nine years after his lack of superstition got his father killed, he's grown into a young man of piety, with a deep reverence for the hallowed sea and her fickle favor. As stories of the fisherman's son who has managed to escape the most deadly of storms spreads from port to port, his devotion to the myths and creeds has given him the reputation of the luckiest bastard to sail the Narrows.
Now, he's mere days away from getting everything his father ever dreamed for him: a ship of his own, a crew, and a license that names him as one of the first Narrows-born traders. But when a young dredger from the Unnamed Sea with more than one secret crosses his path, Elias' faith will be tested like never before. The greater the pull he feels toward her, the farther he drifts from the things he's spent the last three years working for.
He is dangerously close to repeating his mistakes and he's seen first hand how vicious the jealous sea can be. If he's going to survive her retribution, he will have to decide which he wants more, the love of the girl who could change their shifting world, or the sacred beliefs that earned him the name that he's known for-Saint.

The Wind in the Willows (EN)
Audiobook The Wind in the Willows, written by First published in 1908, The Wind in the Willows belongs to a golden age of children’s book. These charming tales of the riverbank, describing the adventures of Ratty, Mole, Badger and their irrepressible but conceited friend, Toad of Toad Hall, have become classics loved as much, perhaps, by adults as by children.

The Secret Lives of Numbers
A revisionist, completely accessible and radically inclusive history of maths
Mathematics shapes almost everything we do. But despite its reputation as the study of fundamental truths, the stories we have been told about it are wrong. In The Secret Lives of Numbers, historian Kate Kitagawa and journalist Timothy Revell introduce readers to the mathematical boundary-smashers who have been erased by history because of their race, gender or nationality.
From the brilliant Arabic scholars of the ninth-century House of Wisdom, and the pioneering African American mathematicians of the twentieth century, to the 'lady computers' around the world who revolutionised our knowledge of the night sky, we meet these fascinating trailblazers and see how they contributed to our global knowledge today.
Along the way, the mathematics itself is explained extremely clearly, for example, calculus is described using the authors' home baking, as they pose the question: how much cake is in our cake? This revisionist, completely accessible and radically inclusive history of mathematics is as entertaining as it is important.
Vše vypadalo zpočátku skvěle, jenže vzápětí vypuklo v Madridu protifrancouzské povstání a plamen odporu zachvátil celou zem. Pyrenejemi začala zuřit guerilla, nesmiřitelná partyzánská válka, a před ní si nebyl žádný Francouz jistý životem.
Autora pamětí, Jonathana Leache, lze s určitou nadsázkou nazvat „skutečný Sharpe“ – on a jeho muži byli předobrazem románového a později i televizního hrdiny Richarda Sharpeho.
Před očima nám ožívají vojenské události, krajina a lidé v širším kontextu dané doby. Kniha přibližuje českému čtenáři málo známé bojiště napoleonských válek viděné očima anglického důstojníka elitního pluku, se kterým došel přes Portugalsko, Španělsko a Francii až na pláně u belgického městečka Waterloo. Leachovy deníkové zápisky zařazuje do dobového rámce ve své předmluvě Jiří Kovařík. Charakteristiku 95. pluku ostrostřelců (Rifles) načrtl v úvodu překladatel Leonid Křížek.
A macskát visszafelé simogatják
Desivý mor Atlantídy prináša tie isté málo známe vedecké a historické fakty, ktorým čitatelia tlieskali v knihe Tajomný gén Atlantídy, a preniká hlbšie do jadra tajomstiev, o ktorých mnohí neustále diskutujú.

Perceval avagy a Szent Grál története
A történet Perceval útját követi otthonából Walesig, elbeszéli a lovagtársai körében véghez vitt kalandjait egészen addig, míg a csúcsponton találkozik a Halász Királlyal. Perceval, akit egyszerűen lebénít a Szent Grállal való első találkozás, elszalasztja a lehetőséget a haldokló király megmentésére.
Multitasking! Do Everything at the Same Time without Stress
This is what this book brings you: you support climate protection, quickly receive compact information and checklists from experts (overview and press comments in the book preview) as well as advice that has been tested in practice, which also leads to success step by step thanks to AddOn. Because multitasking is no longer imaginable from our professional lives - and that does not always have to be bad. Digitization, employers, and customers demand that we work more efficiently, faster, and at the same time with high quality - all preferably at the same time. For many people, this leads to stress and excessive demands because they lack the right methods to succeed despite the pressure to perform. In our society, the myth persists that you have to be specialized in your field in order to work efficiently and be successful. But the opposite is true, often people are more successful who combine different fields of work and can thus adapt to changes in a flexible and agile way - precisely because they have a broader base of experience. This book provides tips and instructions on self-organization and time management, how to successfully avoid stress, how to increase motivation and concentration, and how to improve the quality of life and work despite increasing demands at work. We give you the best possible help on the topics of career, finance, management, personnel work and life assistance. For this purpose, we gather in each book the best experts in their field as authors - detailed biographies in the book - , who give a comprehensive overview of the topic and additionally offer you success planner workbooks in printed form. Our guidebooks are aimed primarily at beginners. Readers who are looking for more in-depth information can get it for free as an add-on with individual content in German and English as desired. This concept is made possible by a particularly efficient, innovative digital process and Deep Learning, AI systems that use neural networks in translation. The publishing company donates at least 5 percent of its reveniew from book sales to charitable organizations involved in reforestation projects and climate protection - more detailed information on request. Publisher Simone Janson is also chairwoman of the board of the Berufebilder Yourweb Foundation, bestselling author and was one of the 20 most important German bloggers as well as a columnist for renowned media - more about her in Wikipedia.

Simone de Beauvoir – A Montparnasse asszonya
A szerelem és az igazság nyomában
Párizs, 1929. A fiatal Simone tanulni akar – és írni. Találkozik Jean-Paul Sartre-ral, a polgárpukkasztó zsenivel, újdonsült szeretőjével.
