Lacná kniha The Big Book of Breasts 3D + 3D okuliare (-90%)
OK, imagine the best photos from the iconic first volume of the body parts series, The Big Book of Breasts, in their original 30 by 30 cm size, but popping off the page in state-of-the-art 3D. An impossible dream? Not so, Luddites! In this wonderful modern world of digital magic, 90 photos from the original book, plus 18 stunning new photos, have been transformed from boring old last-century 2D into cutting edge 21st century 3D by Jon Schnitzer and The Brain Factory, the geniuses whipping up special effects for filmmakers such as Tim Burton. This 220-page special edition has a revised introduction, updated layout, and comes with a pair of red/blue anaglyph viewing glasses.
Unlike other 3D pictures you may have seen before, the photos in The Big Book of Breasts 3D do not look distorted when viewed without the glasses. The Brain Factory’s technique is so subtle it’s hard to even detect the red/blue tint in many of the black and white photos, but when you put on your glasses the curves leap from the page, not in flat layers as in old-style 3D, but as fully rounded body contours.
It doesn’t take a genius to guess that this will be the gift book of the year. As Playboy’s Hugh Hefner recently observed, “What would people most like to see in 3D? Probably a naked lady.” We hear you Hef, and we deliver.

The Cranky Caterpillar
One day Ezra hears a gloomy blue tune coming from the piano. To her suprise, it's a caterpillar making the sound: a cranky caterpillar. Ezra tries to cheer him up with some fresh air, cakes, and new hats, but nothing seems to work..What can Ezra do to help the cranky caterpillar change his tune? Richard Graham is a new illustrator with a highly distinctive and original style. The origins of 'The Cranky Caterpillar' lie in his own artistic sculptural creations: a caterpillar created from the hammers inside an old piano, a band of musical characters, all sculpted from instruments and materials found in his studio. Graham has also been inspired by Wassily Kandinsky's colour synesthesia, whereby we are shown the magical colours of music, in this splendidly illustrated book. Children will identify with the struggle the caterpillar goes through, in trying to articulate his emotions, and will delight in the inventive band of friends that succeed in cheering him up. 'absolutely astonishing ...an astounding piece of work' Raymond Briggs, creator of The Snowman

Blue Highways: A Journey into America
Hailed as a masterpiece of American travel writing, Blue Highways is an unforgettable journey along our nation's backroads.
William Least Heat-Moon set out with little more than the need to put home behind him and a sense of curiosity about "those little towns that get on the map -- if they get on at all -- only because some cartographer has a blank space to fill: Remote, Oregon; Simplicity, Virginia; New Freedom, Pennsylvania; New Hope, Tennessee; Why, Arizona; Whynot, Mississippi."
His adventures, his discoveries, and his recollections of the extraordinary people he encountered along the way amount to a revelation of the true American experience.

The Great Gatsby
**The twentieth-century masterpiece, the authoritative new edition**
With a new foreword by Jesmyn Ward, author of the Women's Prize-shortlisted Sing, Unburied, Sing
`There was music from my neighbour's house through the summer nights. In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars.'
Enigmatic, intriguing and fabulously wealthy, Jay Gatsby throws lavish parties at his West Egg mansion to impress Daisy Buchanan, the object of his obsession, now married to bullish Tom Buchanan. Over a Long Island summer, his neighbour Nick Carraway, a writer and a cousin to Daisy, looks on as Gatsby and Daisy's affair deepens. Tragedy looms in F. Scott Fitzgerald's masterpiece third novel, frequently named among the best novels of the twentieth century.
Praise for The Great Gatsby:
`A classic, perhaps the supreme American novel' Sunday Times
`More than an American classic; it's become a defining document of the national psyche, a creation myth, the Rosetta Stone of the American dream' Guardian
`F. Scott Fitzgerald was better than he knew, for in fact and in the literary sense he invented a generation' New York Times
`An unquiet masterpiece whose mystery never fails to exert its power' Robert McCrum, Observer, `The 100 Best Novels in English'
Complete Sherlock Holmes
A master of deductive reasoning who can solve the most difficult crimes by spotting obscure clues overlooked by others, dilettante sleuth Sherlock Holmes was the hero of 60 stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle between 1887 and 1927. With the help of his loyal friend, Doctor Watson, Holmes brought countless crooks, thieves, swindlers, and murderers to justice. He even rose from the dead after Doyle tried to dispatch him in his twenty-fourth adventure, and readers protested. Some Sherlock Holmes stories rank among the most famous in detective fiction, among them "A Study in Scarlet," "A Scandal in Bohemia," "The Speckled Band," and "The Hound of the Baskervilles." Here, in one volume, are all four full-length novels and 56 short stories about the colorful adventures of Sherlock Holmes—every word Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ever wrote about Baker Street's most famous resident. Also included is an introduction by lifetime Sherlockians Barbara and Christopher Roden. The Complete Sherlock Holmes is one of Barnes & Noble's Collectible Editions classics. Each volume features authoritative texts by the world's greatest authors in an exquisitely designed bonded-leather binding, with distinctive gilt edging and a ribbon bookmark. Decorative, durable, and collectible, these books offer hours of pleasure to readers young and old and are an indispensable cornerstone for every home library.

Matisse Cut-Outs
Henri Matisse (1869-1954) was a fighting spirit. Despite a cancer diagnosis in 1941, increasing frailty and the confines of a wheelchair, the indomitable Frenchman never stopped in his quest to make art. With what he called "une seconde vie," a second life, he embarked on a remarkable collage period, cutting and pasting pieces of colored paper into "gouaches decoupees" of birds, plants, flowers, and the female form.Emphasizing color and contrast, the cut-out technique generated both striking lines and vivid juxtapositions. In works such as The Fall of Icarus (1943), The Blue Nude (1952), The Snail (1953), and La Gerbe (1953), clean forms and elemental structures power a compositional force that belies the work's decorative appeal, at once tightly organized and infectious with joie de vivre. As his work progressed, Matisse's excitement with his results fueled ever-larger pieces, advancing from small works to vast wall-sized murals.

Wonderland How Play Made the Modern World
'The book is a house of wonders' The New York Times'Steven Johnson is the Darwin of technology' Walter Issacson, author of Steve JobsWhat connects Paleolithic bone flutes to the invention of computer software? Or the Murex sea snail to the death of the great American city? How does the bag of crisps you hold in your hand help tell the story of humanity itself? In his brilliant new work on the history of innovation, international bestseller Steven Johnson argues that the pursuit of novelty and wonder has always been a powerful driver of world-shaping technological change. He finds that that throughout history, the cutting edge of innovation lies wherever people are working the hardest to keep themselves and others amused. Johnson's storytelling is just as delightful as the inventions he describes, full of surprising stops along the journey from simple concepts to complex modern systems. He introduces us to the colourful innovators of leisure: the explorers, proprietors, showmen, and artists who changed the trajectory of history with their luxurious wares, exotic meals, taverns, gambling tables, and magic shows.Johnson compellingly argues that observers of technological and social trends should be looking for clues in novel amusements. You'll find the future wherever people are having the most fun.

The Rest of Us Just Live Here
Award-winning writer Patrick Ness's bold and irreverent novel powerfully asks what if you weren't the Chosen One? The one who's supposed to fight the zombies, or the soul-eating ghosts, or whatever this new thing is, with the blue lights and the death? What if you were like Mikey? Who just wants to graduate and go to prom and maybe finally work up the courage to ask Henna out before someone goes and blows up the high school. Again. Because sometimes there are problems bigger than this week's end of the world and sometimes you just have to find the extraordinary in your ordinary life. Even if your best friend might just be the God of mountain lions...An exceptional novel from the author praised by John Green as "an insanely beautiful writer".

Architecture in Wood - A World History
Wood has unique qualities, yet is undervalued or ignored in histories of architecture. However, leading designers around the world are increasingly drawn to it to satisfy social and environmental needs. Will Pryce, the most admired architectural photographer in Britain, has travelled the world seeking both famous and obscure buildings in wood. Intensely dramatic but not over-dramatized, technically flawless, but not merely documentary, his photographs convey all the excitement of encountering these amazing structures first hand. In the substantial text he shows how the wooden heritage of Japan grew from its Buddhist history; how Russia's carpenters determined its iconic domes; how Norway's stave churches contain clues to her pagan past; how Turkic tribes brought the yali from Asia; how the settlers of New England would use a provincial English tradition on the new continent; and how, today, sophisticated architects such as Peter Zumthor and Renzo Piano are inventing an eloquent new wooden architecture.

Top of the Class (Nearly)
From the winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, the Best Book for Younger Readers - Red House Children's Book Award, the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 5 - 12 year-olds and the Blue Peter Best Story Book Award 2013, comes the ninth amazing instalment of this brilliant series! TIPS FOR BEING TOP OF THE CLASS (Sadly...I did NONE of these things.) 1. Stay awake in lessons (it helps.) 2. Don't draw HILARIOUS pictures of your teachers. 3. AVOID the class bully to stay out of trouble. 4. Don't let Mum and Dad write ANYTHING in your school planner. 5. Don't let your grumpy sister Delia BOSS you around. (Technically not a school issue - but still important.) I'm TRYING to get voted onto the school council as well - but thanks to the ABOVE list it's not exactly going to plan.
