Sugar and Spice
In TV star Lauren Conrad's delicious, entertaining novel about young Hollywood, the lies are only as sweet as the people telling them. Jane Roberts is a bona fide celebrity – she is treated like a queen, has couture clothes and starlet looks. She also has the tabloid scandals, fake friends and relentless paparazzi. Now that Jane has survived her first season on the air, she has learned a few things. Most importantly: Hollywood is full of people trying to use you – especially her former friend and current co-star, Madison Parker. So Jane is trying to surround herself with the people she knows love her for her. Like Scarlett, her best friend since childhood. And Caleb, her high school boyfriend who happens to be back in Los Angeles for the next few months. Sure, after a recent – and very public – love-life implosion, Jane is on a break from boys. But that does not mean she can‘t spend time with Caleb. They are just friends. She and Braden are also now friends after they lived through a horrible photo scandal. Well, maybe not, but a little drama never hurt anyone… too badly. Full of the ripped-from-real-life plot twists that Lauren‘s fans love, SUGAR AND SPICE is another great page-turner in this juicy teen series.

Who Shot Van Gogh?
Fact or fiction? An imaginative collection of statements about Vincent van Gogh that challenges what we think we know about the artist's much mythologized existence.
Van Gogh is the most famous artist in the world, yet our understanding of his life is full of contradictions. Art historians, filmmakers, journalists, psychologists and conspiracy theorists have offered theories on his life and work, yet their views are often poles apart. Van Gogh has been described as a suffering genius, a madman, the embodiment of peace and compassion, a man of violence who was a danger to himself and others, a religious fanatic and a Marxist. Where does the truth lie and the myth begin?
This book examines the continual rewriting of Van Gogh's story since the first publications on the artist appeared at the beginning of the twentieth century. Presenting a collage of succinct facts and 'counterfacts', the text is drawn from a wide field of sources: fellow artists, friends and family, doctors and psychoanalysts, actors and writers, theorists, crackpots and scholars. Conflicting statements go hand in hand with an unconventional curation of images, which include postcards of locations associated with the artist, photographs of a fraudster's legal trial, a children's toy, a bottle label and a rusty revolver.
Turnbull presents a kaleidoscope of fact and fiction about the world's most discussed artist - sometimes funny, sometimes heartrending, always revealing - giving readers new insights into the artist, his work and his legacy. Van Gogh himself would be amazed not only to see what people have said about him, but also to grasp the global phenomenon that he has become. A must-have for art lovers and museumgoers, this book invites all readers familiar with Van Gogh to challenge long-accepted ideas about the man and his work.

Coding for Kids Ages 9-15
Are you looking to teach children how to code? Or are you looking to start coding?
This book on beginner html and JavaScript is the answer.
For the last couple of years, the news keeps talking about the digital economy and how everyone needs programmers. It seems like everyone wants to learn how to code. However, it is not that easy. Coding is a skill; and like any skill it takes time to learn. Like any skill, the younger you start; the better you get.
From my personal experience with coding and also with teaching young kids how to code, let me tell you that coding is a lot of fun and extremely gratifying.
It teaches you how to organize, think logically, communicate, work in teams and be more creative.
However, programming can be hard to learn. Especially if you start reading advanced books. You need a step-by-step guide to get started. This book starts off with the very basics; how to install the software, set up and write your first lines of code. There are exercises at the end of each chapter that can test your new found knowledge and move you ahead.
And then, we get you a few more advanced skills that can get you started making websites.
Even if you've never touched a computer in your life, you will find this book useful.

Saving the Planet Without the Bullsh*t : What They Dont Tell You About the Climate Crisis
Have you heard that you should plant trees to save the planet? Or buy carbon offsets when you fly? Or recycle plastic? Go vegan? Or not have children? What if all these actions were a distraction, no matter how well-intentioned?
In this provocative manifesto, Assaad Razzouk shows that for too long our ideas about what's best for the environment have been unfocused and distracted, trying to go in too many directions and concentrating on individual behaviour. While some of these things can be useful, they are dwarfed by one big thing that simply has to happen very soon if we're to avoid major environmental breakdown: curtailing the activities of the fossil fuel industry.
Full of counter-intuitive statistics and positive suggestions for individual and collective action, this ingenious book will change how you view the climate crisis.
Stano Filko (Bilingual edition)
Stano Filko is considered as an influential utopian and polyartist, who understood art and life universally and cosmologically as a unity beyond geographical attributions of East and West. Filko was one of the most important representatives of the Central European neo-avant-gardes, whose work has remained current. Early on, he designed hybrid objects and environments, extending them into unfamiliar terrains with his basic conceptual approach. Again and again, the focus of the work changes: assemblages are followed by text-based works and performances that attempt to circumvent state repression, and later by large-scale gestural painting, characterized by artistic self-assertion, and finally by a final phase, which he dedicates to his increasingly complex "System SF". The publication approaches the multi-layered oeuvre from various perspectives and takes a fresh look at this exuberant oeuvre.
After achievements in the 1960s, Stano Filko (1937-2015) became persona non grata as a result of the Prague Spring, which led to a daring escape from the "Eastern Bloc", his participation in Documenta, and him eventually moving to New York. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he returned to Bratislava and transformed the studio house Snezienková into a multi-dimensional, colorful "gesamtkunstwerk".
