BAWA Starcases
Aimed at architecture students and professionals Bawa Staircases offers the reader a primer of how staircases are often the most dynamic and theatrical spatial elements of a building or landscape. It is a compelling addition to the literature on Sri Lanka's preeminent architect, Geoffrey Bawa and showcases his numerous and varied architectural and landscape designs for residential, public works, gardens and hotel architecture, with particular reference to the staircases he created. Throughout, lush photography by Sebastian Posingis and insightful texts by David Robson are accompanied by contextual shots, plans and illustrations, all illustrating this absorbing island and the work of an architectural master.

Három értekezés a szexualitásról
A nagy analitikus, Sigmund Freud számtalan gyakorlati esetből, megfigyelésből levont általános következtetéseit, szintéziseit rögzíti ez a kis kötet, amely három "értekezést" tartalmaz a legizgalmasabb tárgykör, a szexualitás témájában. Az első A nemiség tévútjai címet viseli. Ebben mai szemmel is kivételesen tárgyilagos modorban fejti ki a kérdés természetes vagy kóros vetületét - mennyiben változat, mennyiben betegség. Második és harmadik értekezése a gyermeki és a serdülőkori szexualitást elemzi. Sok, ma már közkeletűvé vált fogalom kap itt először világos értelmezést (szorongás, elfojtás, szublimáció stb.).

Stay Overnight
The adaptive reuse approach is gaining ground also in the hotel industry. The careful and respectful handling of the building fabric is as important in this process as the creative extension. Converting old structures is a great way to offer an authentic experience for guests, while also conserving land, reducing urban sprawl and preserving the originality of historic buildings. The featured architects show different possibilities how stations, warehouses, churches and offices can be coverted into hotels. Whether through striking contrast with the new creation or reinterpretation of the existing architecture - or indeed both together - all featured projects are defined by their respectful and thoughtful stance towards the sites they occupy and establish an enthralling relationship between the old and the new.

A boszorkányüldözés története
Milyen indulatok, milyen emberi, közösségi, társadalmi, etnikai, vallásfelekezeti feszültségek vezettek a boszorkány bűnbakképzetének folyamatos újratermelődéséhez? Ezek a kérdések foglalkoztattak, ezek körül forog e kötet tizenhat tanulmánya. A boszorkányhit magyarázatánál megpróbáltam kihasználni a pozitív ellenpélda, a csoda-hit, a szentkultusz összehasonlító kontextusát, valamint a "népi" gyógyítók - kuruzslók, javasasszonyok, bábák, nézők, táltosok - tevékenységéről szóló híradásokat.

A nagy háború százéves nyomában: Szarajevótól Trianonig – 2. kötet: 1916–1917–1918
A valóság azonban teljesen másképpen alakult. Éppen ezért az 1914–1918-as eseményeket fontos ismerni.
