Analyticko-srovnávací studie Školní vzdělávání ve Francii je sedmou publikací řady Školní vzdělávání v zahraničí. V monografii Atlas ortopedické tuberkulózy se její autoři, M. Netval a D. Chocholáč, snaží podat komplexní obraz ortopedické tuberkulózy, a to od dávné historie až po současnost. Na více než 200 vyobrazení shromáždili demonstrující obraz ortopedické tuberkulózy i vývoj terapie tohoto onemocnění od dávné historie k dnešku. Publikace je určena především široké lékařské veřejnosti, zejména ortopedům, chirurgům, revmatologům, neurologům a pneumologům. Nejedná se však o sdělení pouze medicínské. Historický pohled na toto infekční onemocnění, které postihuje lidstvo od jeho počátků, doložený bohatou historickou i současnou obrazovou dokumentací, bude jistě zajímavým přínosem i pro laickou veřejnost. V předchozích autorských publikacích byl výklad pojednávané problematiky podán poměrně vyčerpávajícím způsobem, proto je v předkládané publikaci úmyslně co nejméně textu a důraz je kladen na jednotlivá mnohočetná zobrazení a jejich popis. Publikace se zabývá předpisy, jež se týkají advokacie, v nejširším slova smyslu.
Již ze samotné preambule vyplývá, že výklad zahrnuje spektrum od zákonů nejvyšší právní síly až po vyhlášky, resp. usnesení orgánů Komory.
Autoři postupují od obecného ke zvláštnímu, a tak dávají zejména advokátní obci pramen poznání úpravy postavení advokacie, advokátů, obzvláště pak vztahu advokát a klient. Vykládají témata, která jsou kontroverzní. To se týká úvah o přiměřené odměně, o možné reklamě, o nabízení služeb, o poskytnutí informací o podnikání apod.
Autorský kolektiv je sestaven z advokátů, kteří mají zkušenosti z práce v orgánech Komory. Zejména jsou to však advokáti, kteří poskytují právní službu klientům a je jim známo, jak výkon praxe vypadá. Všichni autoři si vytkli za cíl, že budou vykládat předpisy upravující advokacii v tom smyslu, že advokát poskytuje právní službu klientovi, který je tím, koho zejména mají tyto předpisy chránit.
Do autorského kolektivu byli přizváni i experti na pojištění, a to jak pro profesní pojištění, tak i pro jiné druhy pojištění. S tím souviselo i zpracování otázky odpovědnosti za škodu.
Autoři se snažili, aby kniha nebyla zahalena tajemstvím ve smyslu – „kde začíná problém, končí komentář“, naopak, se známými i méně známými potížemi na poli advokacie se vypořádali s příkladnou erudicí, noblesou i nadhledem.

Výraz emocí u člověka a u zvířat
Kniha vydaná v roce 1872 představuje nejmladší z trojice hlavních Darwinových děl o evoluční teorii. Důraz je kladen na univerzální povahu výrazu emocí, což se projevuje podobnostmi mezi různými etniky i mezi zvířaty a lidmi. To naznačuje vrozený původ emocí. Darwin spojuje mentální stavy s koordinací pohybů, jak již naznačuje příbuznost slov motiv a emoce. Rozdíl mezi lidmi a zvířaty mnohdy spočívá v tom, že u lidí se jedná o symbolické náznaky, které byly u jejich zvířecích předků míněny doslova (například pohrdání a hnus jsou spojeny s pohyby, jejichž původním cílem bylo vyhnout se odpornému zápachu). Darwin tímto způsobem pojednává o jednotlivých emocích typu pláč, zoufalství, veselá nálada, hloubání, hněv, pohrdání, vina, překvapení či stud a detailně popisuje, jak se projevuje jejich výraz. Jedná se zároveň o jednu z prvních publikací, která byla doprovozena fotografiemi. Kniha představuje Darwinův hlavní příspěvek dějinám psychologie 19. století a může být považována za čtenářsky přístupný úvod do Darwinova pojetí evoluce.
Charles Darwin (1809-1882) byl slavný britský přírodovědec, geolog a botanik, zakladatel evoluční biologie. Prohlásil, že všechny druhy organismů se postupně vyvinuly ze společných předků, a představil vědeckou teorii, podle níž je tato evoluce výsledkem přírodního výběru, při kterém se uplatňuje zápas o přežití každého jednotlivce i druhu. Mezi jeho nejslavnější knihy dále patří O vzniku druhů přírodním výběrem (1859) a O původu člověka (1871).
