GOOD NEWS BIBLE
The Good News Bible was the first truly easy-to-read Bible translation, and it is still the UK's most popular. The Sunrise edition is a firm favourite, and is ideal for church and school use alike. First sold as 'Good News for Modern Man', the Good News Bible was a bestseller from its first publication, providing a unique combination of accessibility and faithfulness to the best Greek and Hebrew sources. It has earned the respect of a wide range of scholars for its accuracy and reliability, and because it is easy to read and understand it is suitable for people of all ages. Retaining the tried and trusted Bible text and Annie Vallotton's famous line drawings, but completely reset and with a wide range of new notes and helps, the new Sunrise Bible brings a new vitality to Bible reading and is ideal for use in secondary schools, home and church.

A Danaida
"Minden ember titok. Minden titok titok.
Minden ember titok." (a Szerző)

Cthulhu 2000

Dr. Szent Ivány Géza (1870-1946?) gazdag földbirtokos volt, gyermekéveit a Nagy-Magyarországhoz tartozó "százbércű Gömörországban" töltötte. Mivel családja férfitagjai híres vadászok voltak, már korán belekóstolhatott a vadászat nemes szenvedélyébe. Fiatalemberként a gömöri földbirtokosok mellett sok neves főúri és hercegi vadásszal is kapcsolatba került, ezért több vadászuradalomban - betléri-, murányi- és balogvári uradalom, javorinai vadászparadicsom - vadászhatott szabadon.
Mint magyar királyi kincstári uradalmi ügyészségi vezető, munkaköréből adódóan gyakran volt alkalma vadászni a Magas-Tátrában elterülő kincstári vadászterületeken. A Csorba-tó fölötti Bástya-havasokon zergét lőtt, míg a tavaszi dürgés idején siketfajdvadászatra látogatott el a Mlinica-völgybe. Kapitális agancsú gímbikáját az Alacsony-Tátrában lőtte, kolosszális méretű remetekanját - mely 23 cm-es agyarpárral örvendeztette meg - a pelsőci Nagy-hegy egyik szurdokában ejtette el, mégis legjobban a tavaszi szalonkahúzásokat várta. Trianon után szép vadászterületeit - ahol apróvadra, gímszarvasra, őzre, vaddisznóra, sőt medvére is volt alkalma vadászni - messze sodorta a történelem vihara. Budapesten telepedett le, tollat ragadott, és papírra vetette több mint öt évtizednyi vadászattal kapcsolatos élményeit. Könyvében egy letűnt, soha vissza nem térő úri vadászvilág egyik utolsó hírmondójaként egyaránt szól saját vadászélményeiről, a hajdani gömöri vadászatokról, neves felvidéki úri vadászokról, de vadgazdálkodási kérdésekkel is foglalkozik.

Tric Patterns
Clear diagrams and a detailed explanatory text: an inspirational guide for craftspeople and artists everywhere. Includes a CD-ROM.The marvels of Islamic patterns—the most recognizable visual expression of Islamic art and architecture—are not just a beautiful accident. The ancient practitioners of this craft used traditional methods of measurement to create dazzling geometric compositions, often based on the repetition of a single pattern. The results are magnificent in their beauty and awe-inspiring in their execution. Now, with the aid of this book, everyone can learn how to master this ancient art and create their own intricate patterns or re-create classic examples. All one needs are a pencil, a ruler, a compass, and a steady hand. First, technical tips demonstrate the basics: how to draw a square, hexagon, or pentagon. This is followed by some of the best examples of geometric patterns from around the world, arranged into three levels of complexity, with careful, step-by-step instructions. The book features geometric patterns from some of the most famous and beautiful Islamic architecture and art, including: La Mezquita, Cordoba, Capella Palatina, Sicily, Mustansiriya Madrasa, Baghdad, Umayyad Mosque, Damascus, Mosque of al-Salih Tala'I, Cairo, The Koran of Rashid al-Din. The Bear and the Dragon (Jack Ryan Novels)
Four Cassettes, 6 hoursTime and again, Tom Clancy's novels have been praised not only for their big-scale drama and propulsive narrative drive, but for their cutting-edge prescience in predicting future events.  In The Bear and The Dragon, the future is very near at hand indeed.Newly elected in his own right, Jack Ryan has found that being President has gotten no easier.  Domestic pitfalls await him at every turn, there's a revolution in Liberia, the Asian economy is going down the tubes, and now, in Moscow, someone may have tried to take out the chairman of the SVR - the former KGB - with a rocket-propelled grenade.  Things are unstable enough in Russia without high-level assassination, but even more disturbing may be the identities of the assassins.  Were they political enemies, the Russian Mafia, disaffected former KGB?  Or, Ryan wonders, is something far more dangerous at work here.Ryan is right.  For even while he dispatches his most trusted eyes and ears, including black ops specialist John Clark, to find out the truth of the matter, forces in China are moving ahead with a plan of truly audacious proportions.  If they succeed, the world as we know it will never look the same.  If they fail--the consequences will be unspeakable.

A kőfaragó
