Porcupine Tree je anglická rocková skupina založená hudobníkom Stevenom Wilsonom v roku 1987. Počas počiatočnej kariéry trvajúcej viac ako dvadsať rokov si vyslúžili uznanie kritikov a kolegov hudobníkov, vybudovali si kult a stali sa ovplyvňovateľom nových umelcov. CD slovenského saxofónového kvarteta Saxophone Syncopators obsahuje rozkošné veselé a hravé skladby štýlu RAGTIME, ktorý sa hrával na začiatku 20-teho storočia. Saxofón sa vtedy dostal do veľkej obľuby mnohých skladateľov prvých jazzových skladieb a v USA vzniklo množstvo menších čisto saxofónových ansámblov ako napr.: Six Brown Brothers, Columbia Saxophone Sextette, The Missouri Entertainers, Joe Thomas Saxotette, Hollis Saxophone Quintet a.i. Práve nahrávky týchto zoskupení z rokov 1910 až 1925 sú znovu oživené na tomto albume v podaní Saxophone Syncopators v aranžmánoch zakladateľa kvarteta, Ladislava Fančoviča. A dosiahnutie čo najvernejšieho zvuku používajú Saxophone Syncopators originálne hudobné nástroje zn. Buescher z 30-tych rokov minulého storočia.

Prvé slovenské CD venované saxofónu v klasickej hudbe. Málokto vie, že Belgičan Adolphe Sax skonštruoval saxofón okolo roku 1840 za účelom, aby sa na ňom hrala klasická hudba a nie jazz, ktorý vtedy ešte neexistoval. Saxofonista Pavol Hoďa v sprievode klaviristu Ladislava Fančoviča nahrali unikátne CD, v ktorom predstavili zaujímavý prierez skladbami klasickej hudby, ktoré boli napísané pre saxofón. CD je pomenované podľa skladby Sax O'Phun, ktorú napísal a aj nahral v roku 1925 fenomenálny saxofonista a priekopník klasického saxofónu, Rudy Wiedoeft. Unikátom CD je aj to, že každá skladba je interpretovaná na inom type saxofónu. Od sopránového cez altový, c-melody, tenorový, barytónový až po basový saxofón.

Život hudební hvězdy jí přinesl slávu, včetně uvedení do Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, i drogovou závislost. V roce 2008 byl o ní natočen film "Cadillac Records", kde její roli ztvárnila slavná Beyoncé. CO: Album "The Montreux Years" zachycuje průřez jejími vystoupeními na slavném jazzovém festivalu ve švýcarském Montreux v letech 1977, 1978, 1989 1990 a 1993.
