Régen rossz, ha egy könyvcím magyarázatra szorul. Ennél csak az rosszabb, ha nincs, aki megmagyarázza. Mivel a címet én találtam ki, ez a feladat kétségkívül rám vár.
Nos, kedves olvasó, a cím úgy született, hogy néhány felnőtteknek szóló könyvem elnyerte az Önök tetszését. Tapsot ugyan nem hallottam, de leveleik, telefonhívásaik és a könyvek fogyása alapján mégis hallani véltem.
Remélem, nem tévedtem. Így aztán az Önök biztatására kerekedett ki rövid írásaimból ez az új kötet.
Ráadást, ugye, a koncerteken az előadóművészek szoktak adni, ha elég kitartóan tapsol a közönség. Én nem állok pódiumon, csak itthon kopogok öreg írógépemen, és nagyon örülök, ha tetszik, amit írok.
Ha valakinek megy a késői busza, indul a vonata, vagy egyébként is elege volt, hát nyugodtan kászálódjék.

Kötelességem figyelmeztetni a kedves olvasót, a cím félrevezető. Nem szerelmes történeteket tartalmaz a kötet. Hanem?
Az úgy van, hogy az ember időskorban már kevesebbet ügyintéz, szaladgál, nyüzsög. Inkább elgondolkozik ezen-azon, ír, írogat, így a századvégen, ezredelőn. Különösen, ha írónak hiszi magát. Aztán összegyűlik egy kötetre való. De miért jut eszébe éppen ez a cím? Mert a tévésorozatok, az angolszász nyelvterületen készült filmek jóvoltából angolul gyakran hallja. Magyarul csak szeretné hallani. De valahogy hiánycikk. Még a falfirkákon is többnyire angolul olvasható, hogy ,,I love Brigi - Karesz".
Azonkívül az angol nyelvű vallomás nemcsak egyes számban szeret, hanem többes számban is.
Akár a kedves olvasó is magára veheti. Ha akarja.

In this powerful novel the horrific story of sexual abuse of young children by clergy is told through the lives of three main characters: the abuser, Archdeacon and then Bishop Colin; the abused, Jack; and finally the Reverend Katherine who offers hope and redemption to Jack. The circumstances and lives of Colin, Jack and Katherine are individually recounted and how they intertwine with one another develops through the novel. Despite its distressing storyline, the power of hope and love also shows that there is balance in life’s journey. Numerous themes are explored during the story including the role of institutions and the total disregard of the children’s voices and needs by Church, Police and Social Services who all take the importance of the ‘establishment’ to be a more vital aspect than that of the child. In particular it highlights the Church’s disgraceful policy of primarily wishing to preserve its reputation above the care of these vulnerable children.
