Moře je láska, moře je život
Námořnímu kapitánovi Václavu Bourovi se lodě staly osudem. Knížka Na mořích jsou cesty tvé... ho natolik ovlivnila, že šel za tímto skoro nesplnitelným cílem. Absolvoval Vyšší průmyslovou školu v Děčíně, obor vodní dopravy. Po maturitě nastoupil jako plavčík na starou REPUBLIKU, provozovanou Československou námořní plavbou. Po roční praxi se dostal na Vysokou námořní školu v Oděse. Celý život věnoval moři, které se mu stalo životní láskou.
Náhle se loď opět rozhoupala. Oceán prudce dýchal, ztěžoval práci lodních jeřábů. Nestávalo se mi často, abych plul z bouřky do bouřky, ale teď, v průběhu čtyř hodin, vítr zmohutněl ze tří na devět ballů Beaufortovy stupnice, moře se zpěnilo, vítr zasvištěl a loď se začala vzpínat jako nezkrotný hřebec, snažící se shodit svého jezdce. V té době už byly nákladové prostory vodotěsně uzavřené, lodní jeřáby upevněné a zabezpečené.
Poetické líčení moře se snoubí s poutavým líčením přístavů a zemí, které kapitán Václav Boura s československými loděmi navštívil. Čtyři desítky let od studií na Vysoké škole námořní v Oděse po odchod do důchodu strávil na moři. Třebaže vzpomínky na cizokrajné země byly napsány v době jeho aktivního působení, jsou stále živé, plné zajímavostí, jednotlivé prožitky vtáhnou čtenáře do děje. To byl Guderian
Kniha, jejíž autor byl za druhé světové války důstojníkem v Guderianových útvarech, je rozsáhlým obrazovým životopisem generála Heinze Guderiana, vrchního velitele tankových vojsk Wehrmachtu.

Ludvík Krejčí byl jedním z nejúspěšnějších legionářských velitelů; jeho jméno však zůstává spojeno především s přípravou obrany ČSR proti rozpínavosti nacistického Německa, která vyvrcholila na podzim 1938 úspěšně provedenou mobilizací. Hlavní velitel čs. branné moci po sobě nezanechal ucelené paměti, ale v rodinném archivu se zachovala jeho obsáhlá písemná agenda, kterou vedl od roku 1939 až do své smrti. Předkládaná publikace obsahuje výběr nejzajímavějších textů, které mají velkou výpovědní hodnotu.
Obsah je rozdělen do pěti hlavních částí na vzpomínkové texty, vyjádření pro historiky a novináře, záznamy o událostech, dopisy a na dokumenty z roku 1938. Dubček
Alexander Dubček patril v roku 1968 k najznámejším a najpopulárnejším politikom v Európe. Bol ikonou československej jari a pre obyvateľov socialistického Východu aj kapitalistického Západu stelesňoval predstavy o inom, lepšom a dôstojnejšom živote. V Československu sa po dlhom čase objavil politik, ktorý dokázal spájať spoločnosť. Podobne ako pred ním Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, aj A. Dubček zosobňoval optimistické očakávania týkajúceho sa budúceho vývoja. Dubček bol typickým dieťaťom komunistického hnutia prvej polovice 20. storočia. Nepoznal lepšiu alternatívu ako socializmus a jeho výchova v duchu tohto ideálu bola úplná. Nebol však intelektuálom a nádeje, ktoré vkladal do komunizmu, boli jednoduché a pragmatické. Jeho predstavy neprekračovali víziu poctivého a pokojného života bez ekonomickej neistoty. Nikdy sa nesprával ako dogmatický sekerník volajúci po fyzickom zničení ideologických nepriateľov. Naopak mal povesť slušného človeka, ktorý radšej diskutoval, ako diktoval. Ako sa ukázalo, bola to zároveň výhoda aj slabina.Skutočnosť, že sa v roku 1968 snažil socializmus v Československu chrániť, a nie zničiť, že v jeho živote chýbajú gestá otvoreného vzdoru a že sa nikdy nestal súčasťou antikomunistického disentu, sa dnes považuje za dôvod na historické odsúdenie.

Kniha obsahuje 19 štúdií, ktoré prinášajú výsledky najnovšieho vedeckého výskumu k rôznym aspektom života J. Vojtaššáka: rodinné zázemie, príchod do biskupskej služby, pastoračné aktivity, zástoj pri budovaní školstva a cirkevných inštitúcií, poľská problematika, vzťah k židovskému obyvateľstvu, vzťahy so Svätou stolicou a so slovenským exilom, postoj k totalitným ideológiám a režimom a ich postoj k nemu. Osobitný prínos majú príspevky dokumentujúce jeho perzekúciu v povojnovom Československu, predovšetkým politický proces a dlhoročné väznenie komunistickým režimom. Jednotlivé state vychádzajú z primárneho archívneho výskumu a prinášajú mnoho nových, doteraz neznámych poznatkov.
