Monografie představuje jednu z určujících osobností české literatury od šedesátých let dvacátého století, básníka, literárního kritika, editora, překladatele a pedagoga Antonína Brouska. Hypersenzitivní a přitom intelektuálně založený básník do svých veršů promítal žitou zkušenost, dvojí proměna jeho poetiky tak nabízí klíč k jeho dílu jako celku. K prvnímu posunu došlo po autorově emigraci, kdy pro něj jeho lyrická tvorba představovala útočiště, bezpečný prostor pro vzpomínání a konstrukci domova. Druhý posun nastal ve chvíli, kdy se básník po roce 1989 pokusil vrátit do Československa.

Spomienky básnika, prekladateľa, člena skupiny nadrealistov Vladimíra Reisela (1919 – 2007) na ľudí, literárne, spoločenské a politické okolnosti, ktoré utvárali jeho život. Už na gymnáziu publikoval svoje básne. Neskôr, počas štúdia na Karlovej univerzite v Prahe, sa zoznámil s významnými českými literátmi a zapojil sa do kultúrneho diania. To, že sa reformácia, hnutie na prahu novoveku za nápravu cirkvi, šírila nielen po mužskej, ale aj po ženskej línii, nie je veľmi známe.
