Šťastné okolnosti Jána Zoričáka
Ak táto kniha vyvoláva otázku, kto Ján Zorčák vlastne je možno sa vám pri jej listovaní zažiada zájsť do podtatranskej obce Ždiar. Tam ešte stojí drevenica, v ktorej sa umelec pred sedemdesiatimi piatimi rokmi narodil, vedľa nej lúka, na ktorej ako chlapec ležal a hľadieval na nočnú oblohu. Sklár Ján Zoričák, jeden z prvých slovenských výtvarníkov, ktorí získali v tomto mladom odvetví umeleckého sochárstva odborné i akademické vzdelanie, sa zaradil medzi popredné osobnosti svetového umenia. Na svoju náročnú, ale vzrušujúcu cestu sa vybral pred šesťdesiatimi rokmi, zo štúdií v Železnom Brode a v Prahe sa domov vracal iba na prázdniny. Roku 1970 sa so svojou rodinou natrvalo usadil vo Francúzsku, tvorí v mestečku Talloires pod Savojskými Alpami.
