Moje Pacifická hřebenovka, 3. vydání
Na Pacifickou hřebenovku se ročně vydá několik tisíc lidí, ale dokončí ji jen desetina z nich. Monika patří mezi ně. A to byla ještě před nedávnem bledou pacientkou s vážnými zdravotními a psychickými problémy. Přesto se rozhodla změnit život a splnit si sen – projít pěšky celou Ameriku. Postavila se nemoci, poušti, omrzlinám, medvědům i pumám, které potkávala, když putovala sama divočinou. Pacifická hřebenovka ji tvrdě zkoušela. Naučila ji ale nevzdávat se.
Trek, pot a slzy
Autobiografický cestopisný román Trek, pot a slzy je upřímným a otevřeným příběhem, který líčí autorčino putování po nejtěžším treku Evropy Haute Route des Pyrenées. Na svou 880 kilometrů dalekou pouť napříč divokými horami se vydala bez dostatečných zkušeností a s téměř neznámým mužem, vedena složitými životními pohnutkami, jimž dominuje láska, zklamání z nenaplněných očekávání a potřeba vyrovnat se s novým životním osudem a navždy ztracenými sny. Touha po duševní katarzi ji však vrhla do těžké zkoušky, v níž musela čelit riskantnímu horskému terénu, komplikovaným vztahům se společníkem Kamilem, a dokonce i strachu o život. V tvrdé dřině, jež představuje ustavičná chůze v odlehlých horách, na samém dně pocitů beznaděje a zmatení nakonec nalezla kýžené východisko pro svůj život, avšak úplně jiné, než jaké si představovala.
Kniha se odehrává ve třech dějových liniích a přechod Pyrenejí je pouze jednou z nich, jejich rámcem. Druhým tématem, které se v knize objevuje v retrospektivě, je autorčin profesní život. Nejistota muzikantského povolání provázená hledáním stabilního uplatnění a snahou o prosazení ji dlouhá léta držela na hraně finanční soběstačnosti. Společně s láskou a zhrzenými touhami, které tvoří třetí tematickou linii knihy, pak vyvstává komplexní obraz motivů, jež ji k nevyzpytatelné cestě napříč Pyrenejemi přiměly.
Markéta Dobešová, povoláním houslistka, hrála šest let první housle v Orchestru Národního divadla v Praze, paralelně spolupracovala se Symfonickým orchestrem hl. m. Prahy FOK, Českým národním symfonickým orchestrem a dalšími hudebními tělesy. V současné době je zaměstnaná jako první houslistka Orchestru Divadla J. K. Tyla v Plzni. Její vášní se v posledních letech stalo cestování, zejména dálkový treking. O něm mimo jiné píše oblíbený blog Čtyřhranné zápisky, který již inspiroval velké množství lidí k cestě za vlastními sny. Island: Ako som zažil erupciu
Roky som žil Islandom. Študoval som jeho geológiu, sopky, písal o nich, informoval o erupciách. Vždy z bezpečia domova. Až doteraz.
Prišiel okamih – krátke okno, do ktorého som sa trafil dokonale. Všetko sa zlomilo. Erupcia ma zastihla priamo na ostrove – a ja som mal prvýkrát možnosť informovať o nej naživo, z prvej ruky. V roztrasených rukách statív, živé streamovanie na Slovensko a v hlave myšlienka, ktorú som nespracoval ani po polroku: Toto je ono. Toto je ten splnený sen.
Ani tentoraz, rovnako ako v mojom prvom cestopise, sa nič neudialo ľahko. Kým sa všetko zbehlo, prešiel som si cestou plnou absurdností, stresu aj smiechu. Zbabraný vodičák. Prvé pokusy prejsť divokými fjordmi v čase, keď som bol rád, že sa na Slovensku trafím do správnej dediny. Naháňačky za polárnou žiarou len preto, aby som kamarátke Lenke splnil sen. Alebo chvíle, keď sa uprostred snehovej búrky ocitnete s prázdnou nádržou a ostáva vám len dúfať, že vás ostrov ešte podrží.
V knihe vás čakajú skutočné príbehy. Nie vymyslené. Sú bodkou za mojím cestovaním po tomto ostrove a zavŕšením môjho písania o ňom.
Informácia o autorovi:
Autor knihy, Martin Pročka, sa venuje Islandu už šesť rokov. Za ten čas vytvoril projekt Eyja Adventures, stránku, ktorá pravdepodobne ako jediná na Slovensku (a asi aj v Česku) minútu po minúte informuje o dianí na ostrove, predovšetkým v prípade erupcií. Aj vďaka tomu si stránka získala popularitu a pritiahla
silnú komunitu milovníkov Islandu. Autorova prvotina, Island – Jedinečný ostrov, sa venuje geológii ostrova a stihla sa vypredať ešte pred krstom knihy. Tento úspech ho motivoval k napísaniu ďalšej knihy o objavení ostrova a následne vydal cestopis o tom čo všetko možné aj nemožné zažil počas jeho cestovania ostrovom a v súčasnosti vydáva svoju úplne poslednú knihu o tomto ostrove.
