Jediná ucelená publikace o vývoji, výrobě a jednotlivých verzích vozidla Tatra 813 je zpracována především z archivních dokumentů Vojenského ústředního archivu/Vojenského historického archivu Praha. V úvodu seznámí čtenáře s prostředky využívanými pro tah dělostřelectva a velmi těžkých nákladů po 2. světové válce.
V hlavní části knihy jsou informace o vývoji tahače Tatra 813, o výrobě prototypů a jejich zkouškách, a také o konstrukci návěsných zařízení požadovaných složkami armády. V nejobsáhlejší kapitole rozdělené do několika částí najdete takticko-technická data jednotlivých aplikací vozidla, která jsou doplněna nákresy a fotografiemi různých částí vozu.
Nejpodrobněji je popsán základní typ tahače Tatra 813 8 × 8 (Kolos), ze kterého celá unifikovaná řada vychází. U ostatních provedení včetně civilních jsou uváděny především konstrukční změny. Přílohy obsahují nejen popisy návěsných zařízení tahače a použití motorů řady T 930 v jednotlivých dopravních prostředcích, ale také barevné fotografie vozidel T 813 a jejich nástupce T 815.

The Born-Free Book is created by DicE Magazine. DicE was launched in London by MATT DAVIS & DEAN MICETICH in 2004, and is now published in Los Angeles. We lost Matt Davis in 2016 to cancer, but his legacy lives on and DicE is being continued on by Dean. Údržba a opravy motocyklů ČZ 125 a 150C
Kniha, kterou vám předkládáme, byla připravena k tisku už v roce 1955, ale bohužel tehdy nevyšla. Jejím obsahem jsou články, které vycházely v časopisu Svět Motorů v letech 1953–1955. Bratři Šulcové se v nich věnovali údržbě a opravám nejvíce prodávaných motocyklů ČZ, které jsou i v současné době nejrozšířenější mezi sběrateli a veteránisty.
Mnozí motocyklisté udržují svůj motocykl v pořádku, je však málo těch, kteří si dovedou motocykl správně seřídit, a ještě méně těch, kteří dovedou najít závadu a odstranit ji. Proč? Protože svůj motocykl neznají. Chceme jim proto pomoci. Těmito slovy zahájili bratři Šulcové cyklus 25 článků, které vycházely na pokračování, a které plánovali vydat jako příručku. Podrobně se věnovali technice jízdy (zajíždění nového motocyklu, jízdě do kopce, jízdě za tmy), údržbě (čištění, mazání, napínání řetězu, seřizování brzd, ošetřování pneumatik), ale také složitějším tématům (rozebrání karburátoru, seřízení zapalovače, přebroušení válce, rovnoběžnost kol, opravy motoru, vyjmutí a montáž ložisek aj.).
Články jsou doplněny o technické fotografie z archivu ČZ, komentáře k postupům oprav i ze současného hlediska, hodnocením, co je použitelné a co ne. Zasvěcené rady bratří Šulcových i po letech jistě ocení celá komunita motorkářů veteránistů.

Motocyklové vozíky tvoří nedílnou, avšak veřejnosti málo známou část československé motoristické historie. Kniha čtenářům přináší ucelený obraz o historii využívání vozíků ve spojení s motocykly, které bylo přímým a logickým důsledkem specifického poválečného rozvoje motorismu v Československu.
