Nejvíce se zapsal do povědomí veřejnosti jako hlavní ošetřovatel goril, zejména díky péči o slavnou gorilu Moju, první gorilí mládě narozené v České republice. Během svého působení v zoo se podílel i na záchraně zvířat při povodních v roce 2002. Po odchodu ze zoo se věnuje podnikání, ale stále zůstává aktivní v oblasti ochrany zvířat a spolupracuje s dalšími zoologickými zahradami.

Šerm šavlí
Tvarůžkova kniha Šerm šavlí z roku 1910, jejíž reprint vydáváme po 115 letech, je dodnes ceněnou metodikou šermu sportovní šavlí, zvláště mezi zájemci o evropská bojová umění a klasický šerm. Autor vycházel důsledně z nové italské školy šermu, která úspěšně vytlačila z evropských šermíren a turnajů zastaralou školu francouzskou. Hlavní inspirací byl pro Tvarůžka italský mistr Luigi Barbasetti, který působil v závěru 19. století ve Vídni, kde založil vlastní šermírnu a na základě jejího úspěchu pak vyučoval šerm vojenské mistry šermu na rakousko-uherské vojenské akademii ve Vídeňském Novém Městě. Podstatou metodiky, kterou Tvarůžek úspěšně implementoval do českého sportovního prostředí, byly kružné seky nazvané autorem „máchy“. Tvarůžek také vytvořil české názvosloví šermu (pro šavli i fleret), na základě starších pokusů Miroslava Tyrše. Tento reprint jistě rozšíří znalost Tvarůžkova umění klasického šermu šavlí mezi zájemce o tuto ušlechtilou sportovní disciplínu, a to nejen sportovní šermíře, ale také studenty historického šermu či šermu jako bojové umění. Půvab Tvarůžkovy školy je také v tom, že ještě není zbavena v důsledku elektrických záznamových přístrojů klasické techniky a elegance.

George Ord, a fan and protégé of Wilson, held a bitter grudge against Audubon for years, claiming he had faked much of his information and his scientific claims. A few of Audubon’s birds were pure fiction, and some of his writing was invented or plagiarized. Other naturalists of the era, including Charles Bonaparte (nephew of Napoleon), John Townsend, and Thomas Nuttall, also became entangled in the scientific derby, as they stumbled toward an understanding of the natural world—an endeavor that continues to this day.
