Oldřich Liska - Architekt východočeské moderny
Významný, avšak doposud opomíjený urbanista, výtvarný návrhář a architekt východočeské moderny Oldřich Liska (1881–1959) působil v letech 1908–1947 ve čtyřech královéhradeckých projekčních kancelářích. Během své činnosti byl autorem největšího počtu architektonických realizací v Hradci Králové v rámci meziválečného období. V tomto městě se také stal spoluautorem několika urbanizačních studií, které pak rozvíjel i v dalších obcích regionu (např. Pardubice, Třebechovice pod Orebem, Polička, Jaroměř, Kostelec nad Orlicí, Náchod).
Hlavní těžiště Liskovy činnosti ve dvacátých letech spočívalo v realizaci bloků nouzových obytných domů. Mezi další důležité aspekty architektovy tvorby patří inovační návrhy škol tzv. halové dispozice na východočeském venkově; nepřehlédnutelná je projektantova schopnost dobře se přizpůsobit nejnovějším architektonickým módním trendům.
