A könyv tulajdonképpen a szeborreás bőrök kezeléséről és az ezzel a bőrtípussal járó bőrproblémák megoldásáról szól. A szeborrea faggyútúltengést jelent, tehát ebben a könyvben a zsíros bőrűeket érintő bőrproblémákkal foglalkozom behatóan. a címének azonban nem szerettem volna ezt adni, ugyanis nagyon gyakori, hogy valakinek ugyan szeborreás a bőre, mégis száraznak érzi, és a felszínen fakó és fénytelen.
Ennek a bőrtípusnak a legjellemzőbb bőrproblémái az alábbiak:
- tág pórusok
- mitesszerek
- pattanások
- vízhiány, amelytől a bőr feszül, bár közben sokaknál zsírosan csillog
- rosacea (az arc kivörösödésével, hajszálerekkel, később göbökkel kísért betegség)
Ezek a bőrproblémák nem csupán esztétikai – és ezáltal gyakran lelki – gondokat okoznak, hanem pl. pattanások esetében még fájdalmasak is lehetnek.
