Po oslobodení
Ktokoľvek si tieto záznamy prečíta, nikdy na ne nezabudne.
Krátko pred koncom druhej svetovej vojny bola mladá Poľka zatknutá sovietskou armádou, niekoľko dní vypočúvaná a potom desať rokov väznená v gulagu.

The Spoil
In a rambling split-level house on the outskirts of Tacoma in the 1970s, a young girl is preoccupied by the anomalous phenomena she reads about in magazines: alien visitations, ESP, pyramid power, the Bermuda Triangle. Meanwhile, she and her stepbrother, thrown uneasily together by disaster and divorce, grow increasingly convinced that a malevolent presence lives in their house, and they develop elaborate strategies to avoid it. Years later, Mandy is living in Las Vegas in a modern townhouse caring for her mother who is in a terminal decline from Alzheimer’s. She works for a real estate company but struggles to focus on her tasks. She takes medication to manage her ADHD, which has her zagging between distraction and obsession, always halfway through some home renovation project. Then, while digging through a box of her mother’s things hoarded in her garage, she sets something loose. Something old and baleful: a demon that soon possesses one of her neighbours, a handyman named TK, further destabilizing Mandy’s fractured powers of concentration. What follows is a gripping and often terrifying story of familial grief in which the past is both elusive and paralyzing, and questions of science and spirit become urgent. The Spoil, Maile Chapman’s first novel in fifteen years, is tuned in to the most unusual frequencies, bringing us messages from beyond about the deepest mysteries of grief and longing.

Spellbound
When Phil Hanley was in year one at school, he realised something that would forever set him apart from his peers: he couldn’t read. His teachers were ill-equipped to assist him, and he slipped through the school’s cracks, year by year falling further and further behind his friends. Finally, he was diagnosed with dyslexia, a learning disability that would shape the rest of his life. Unable to pursue college or a traditional job, Phil was thrust into a life defined by unconventional twists, including a stint as a runway model in Europe. Eventually, he found himself on a stage with a microphone, a spotlight, and five minutes of jokes. Unlike so many previous pursuits, stand-up felt right to Phil, and he soon discovered that the more he worked at it, the more he got out of it - a realisation that, he compellingly argues, saved his life. Spellbound is a story of humour and also of struggle and heartbreak, of constantly living in a world that sees things differently than you do, and of triumph over adversity. Phil shows us that dyslexia can be a huge challenge, but it doesn’t spell certain condemnation (and neither can he). Just the opposite: dyslexia has been more than a blessing in his life - it’s been his North Star.
Trans Central Station
Trans Central Station reflects on a trans life lived before the language to name it. In this luminous essay, award-winning science fiction and fantasy author and tarotist Rachel Pollack moves between personal memory, history, science fiction and myth to consider how words can both restrict and liberate. From Schrödinger’s cat and science-fiction portals to magic, early trans activism and comics, Trans Central Station breaks the world open to ‘both completely new and unknowably ancient’ possibilities of desire, joy and revelation. Situating trans existence within deep time, Pollack connects modern experience to shamanism and rites of transformation, insisting that trans people have always existed – and have often been understood as sacred figures. In this meditation on freedom – from rigid social structures, from fear and shame, and from history itself – to be trans is proof of ancient and ongoing cosmic power.
You Did Nothing Wrong
Single mother Elodie’s life has become a fairy tale. She’s met Bren, equal parts golden-retriever devoted and sinfully handsome. He’s whisked her and her autistic son, Jude, to the crumbling family house he’s renovating. She has a new husband, a new house, and a new baby on the way. Everything is perfect. Then Jude claims he can hear voices in the walls. He says their renovations are “hurting” the house. Even Elodie can’t ignore it–something strange is going on. The question is, is it with the house, or with her son? Then the one secret Elodie has been hiding is revealed, and no one is safe anymore.
A pulse-pounding, clever take on the haunted house novel, You Did Nothing Wrong examines the complexities of motherhood and the twisted bonds of family as it races to its shocking ending.

Not Going Back
Despite intense political debate, attitudes on abortion were remarkably stable for decades. However, after the 2022 Dobbs decision, Americans' opinions began to change. Not Going Back explores the shifts in public opinion on this hot-button issue from the landmark passing of Roe v. Wade in 1973 through the 2024 election and into 2025. The authors ask, "What role do Americans want their government to play in protecting, regulating, or restricting abortion access?" and, "How will changing attitudes on abortion reshape American politics?" They offer cohesive, theoretically grounded explanations for both the continuity and the change in Americans' attitudes on this contentious topic. Using national data, they take a deep dive into the personal experiences and social forces behind these changes. Not Going Back ends with an examination of the consequences of these changes for election outcomes. While there has been a striking reversal in the prioritization of abortion as an issue among Democrats and Republicans, the full impact of this shift in thinking will be influenced by future policies, court decisions, and party reactions.

Dance of Oneness
Most of us live in our heads and miss out on experiencing our bodies as a portal to the present moment and true happiness. In this guide, Banafsheh Sayyad offers a transformative healing path to reconnect with yourself as a being of love, ground your spirituality in your body, and embrace ease, joy, and freedom. This work isn’t about professional dance techniques. Instead, Sayyad shares how dance can help you honour the body as the physical expression of the soul: miraculous, wise, and full of wonder. Through her healing modality, Dance of Oneness - a fusion of Taoist, Sufi, and Divine Feminine wisdom with flamenco, tai chi, Persian dance, and Sufi whirling - Sayyad guides you to release blockages, activate your light body, and rediscover your vitality and purpose. For the first time in a book, readers are initiated into whirling as a portal to higher dimensions and profound transformation. “Dance of Oneness invites you to live your life as a dance that brings you into unity with all, through embodied love,” offers Sayyad. “True embodiment is about experiencing yourself as a channel of light to help heal the earth.” With wisdom teachings, embodiment practices, insights from Rumi’s inspirational poetry, and Sayyad’s own story out of Iran and into the freedom that dance spirituality gave her, Dance of Oneness invites you to open to the flow of love and embrace a soul-filled life.
